I honestly had no idea that these guys were earning more away from the UFC and just assumed the UFC had all the best fighters thanks for great info and I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for Bellator events. Is it normally on TV?

It's only really the biggest names in the smaller organisations who are earning more than the majority of mid tier ufc fighters sadly, the lesser-knowns earn absolute chump change sadly!

TheKingObv is correct though, the UFC do have the best of the best fighters out there, but there's always 1 or 2 from other places they should aquire

Just look at Eddie Alvarez - from Bellator to UFC champ and looked amazing in his title fight

I think they said the ref had never seen a knee connect so hard. Hope the guy is ok as MVP was very good and would think will make UFC?

I'd love to see him in the UFC!

MVP and Michael Chandler (from Bellator also) should be able to walk into the UFC no problem in my opinion

Only problem would be the money situation - they'll have to take a big cut in pay to join the UFC sadly and that can be the clincher for guys with families to provide for etc - depends if they want to fight the best and test themselves / prove themselves etc

The Reebok deal has really killed the money for "less famous" fighters. Before this Reebok pish most fighters made more money from sponsors than their official salaries - even some mid tier fighters used to take home huge money, like Brendan Schaub claimed to rake in $100k from sponsors alone PER FIGHT at one point! He even went as far as showing Dana the proof when he called bullshit

Can't even imagine what the likes of GSP / Silva / Liddell etc made back in the day from sponsors

On the other hand you've also got people like Ben Askren who went from Bellator to ONE FC instead for more money than the UFC would offer him... but I don't think he could ever cut it in the UFC anyway sadly!

  3. Mark Hunt's greeting on twitter about wanting half of Brocks money for the fight... and last I looked he wants all of it now

Crazy thing is he passed a bunch of USADA tests after the one that popped leading up to the fight

Wonder who will pop next... imagine the chaos if it was Aldo or Conor on the run up to the rematch

Without checking has Conor went 5 rounds in a big UFC fight as I reckon Diaz would have him over the distance and thats even with his face being used for target practice.

Really exciting rematch that is for sure as so many outcomes for either fighter.

Only ever went to the judges once, and that was a win over Max Holloway with a fucked up knee

I was watching the McGregor fight against Diaz last night again and I honestly do not think he has the beating of him as Diaz took his strikes and when it went to ground was light years away from Diaz.

Diaz took so many clean shots that first round alone it was crazy!

I'm so interested to see what game plan Conor brings to the 2nd fight - who knows what the fuck they'll be planning on trying this time!

Try to out-point Nate across 5 rounds? Not exactly an easy road to go down...

And what happens if Conor loses again? How will that affect his mannerisms and his hype etc?

So many possible outcomes, as long as injuries (or USADA :power_of_anguish:) don't ruin it then it's all good!

  6. ESPN reporting Dom Cruz is interested in fighting Aldo or Conor for the 145 belt:

"Who knows? McGregor could get hurt in this fight against Diaz," Cruz said. "They'd need someone to fight for the interim title. I'm willing to fight for the interim (featherweight) title and bring two belts together. Why not? I would do that in a heartbeat. That's a much more fun, much bigger fight than anything near TJ Dillashaw. Nobody cares about that guy."

"Or maybe Aldo gets hurt and I'll fight Conor. Let's go, you know what I mean? I can move up to 145 and be very competitive. I'm extremely hard to hit, I'm quick and I've fought at 45 before. I'm down for it because bringing two belts together to consolidate into one, not only has it not been done, it's tough. It's a challenge. It's a fun, interesting matchup. That's what people want to see right now."

Absolutely love either fight for Conors first defence - Aldo or Cruz (tu)

  7. Chael Sonnen just leaked on the Joe Rogan podcast being live streamed just now that Jon Jones got popped for 2 different estrogen blockers

So basically, after a roid cycle your estrogen levels go up along with the testosterone levels and that's not exactly ideal (gyno / bitch tits etc)

Since he was trying to stop the estrogen levels rising, I think this proves 100% he was coming off a roid cycle then!

  8. What the fuck, Dana just announced Bisping's fighting fuckin Hendo for the title next

They're hoping to hold it in October in Manchester

Quite easily one of, if not the most, undeserving title shots of all time!

Imagine if auld man Hendo H-bombs him again at 45 and finally wins the UFC belt?!

I thought it was fucking embarrassing as a UFC fan as the co main event that was a shambles.

"Greatest card" of all time turning in decision-fest

Certainly been some stellar performances so far tonight, but I've easily much better / far more exciting cards top to bottom with barely any "big names" on them (but I've enjoyed it, don't get me wrong).

What are the chances Nunes storms out first round, gasses, then Tate grinds her out for the rest of the 5?
