  1. So you DON'T know if he had other targets or if the board backed him (or not). Neither do I but I do know that with the squad that is available his team selections (and signings) are questionable.
  2. Sorry but there's nothing obvious about it. You're making out you know he had signing targets and the board backed him. Now you're saying the board backed out. If you have facts then give us them otherwise I'm beginning to see MW as Le Guen part II i.e. he told the board it would be easy but is now recognisng how hard a job it really is.
  3. eh? So he had the option to sign whatever it takes but signed what we have?
  4. Did he have 1st choices. or did he just not have a clue what he wanted? If he wanted certain players he should have stuck by them. Maybe he did and signed them.
  5. Well it's obvious isn't it! We obviously signed players on past reputations. They've shown they don't have it to compete at this level any more. The management signed them They messed up. They've got to sort it. It's not a blame game here, it's about working out the best way forward.
  6. The defence is fucked and there's nothing that can be done to improve it until January. So what needs to happen is we get some urgency in front of the defence. Active attacking enegetic options that close down the opposition without allowing them time on the ball. We stop them throwing balls into our box and we attack them first. Let them think about stopping us rather than us thinking about them. We have the players. The manager just has to play them, give them a run and give up on the poor signings. We all make mistakes and the sooner the management team realise this and that it is nothing to be ashamed of the better.
  7. If only is were possible, but it's not. Take Kranjcar for example. I see plenty of posts that mention how he is not match fit, but what a player he will be when he is. Well. it isn't going to happen. He is what is called 'match fit' and he is giving 100% but compared to a few years ago when he was a Croatian international standard he is well off the pace (say 20%, or a yard slower). These players signed by our manager are giving all they can (i.e. 100%) but it's 80% of what they were capable of in the past. MW has underestimated the SPL (or whatever it is called these days) and signing players who give a bit less than they gave when playing in the Premiership or wherever are not going to cut it playing for Rangers. We are not a club where players who cannot compete at the highest physical level are welcome. We want the best and we demand the best. There will be no Messi or Ronaldo in our lineup but whoever does pull on the jersey should be able to compete on a physical level with whoever we play against. It is evident that some of our first team squad are slow of mind and off the pace whereas a few years ago they would have walked this league.
  8. I wasnt. I got talking to him. Try reading a bit slower. Only saying like.
  9. And come the next game vs these cnuts we'll get the money back. That's how it goes mindless morons on both sides and has been going on for as long as anyone can remember. Doesn't make it right but doesn't warrant sensationalism in a newspaper either
  10. I ventured out today to a boozer that runs a tim bus but otherwise is OK as plenty off bears drink there. Might be hard for some of you to comprehend but it isn't a bitter pub on a normal day (although I've never been there on a tim match day) and is OK to watch the likes of Swansea vs Chelsea. Anyway got talking to a tim who is sellik through and through but didn't gloat about yesterday's game. Instead he asked why Waghorn, Forrester and Halliday didnt play and why Miller was pushed wide. Apparently Waghorn was their biggest worry. I was lost for words. Waghorn has pace and power, Forrester is our best player and Halliday is a bear so would have given 100% and more. Miller was obviously played wide to nullify their full back pushing forward but it made me think is our manager so afraid of the opposition that he wants to contain them rather than making them worry about us? MW needs to get back to what he promised in the early days. Young fit hungry players who have an appetite to win games. Most of the signings made since last season are poor and won't win us anything. So come on Mark ship them out (or at least drop them) and get in players that are hungry for success. You're not going to like the boos that are going to follow if the same lineup is seen and continually fails to deliver. We don't demand succes but we do demand 100% from every player who pulls on the jersey. The pity is that some of these latest signings are giving 100% but it is 80% of what they were capable of a few years ago.
  11. MW might have been thought of as good for our club but he is undoing all the good work. Take Hill, Senderos, Barton and Krancjar out the squad and it doesn't weaken it in the slightest.
  12. Mark a man. Get you arms out to stop him making a run. Attack the ball when it comes in. If you aren't getting to it first get a bump on the man you're marking. Don't turn your back and close your eyes under any circumstances.
  13. On what I've seen so far obviously. Windass has looked good. Rositter went missing against Killie but does look like a player.
  14. The spine of any decent football team is keeper, centre backs, centre mid, centre forward. Wes is OK, same with Windass and Rossiter, and Garner looks like he might have something. But we don't have a decent CB at the club. It's been evident since last season and we haven't fixed it yet. Releasing them isn't the solution although we defended just as bad without the CBs yesterday as we did with them.
  15. Man up. Dont show them you're hurting. Make a mental note of every one of them you know that takes things a bit too far when they gloat about the result and fucking let them have it when our time comes around again.
  16. One bus came up the road and hoards of scum came off throwing bottles before piling back on again. The bus did a 3 point turn and fucked off. How does that happen at a heavily policed football match without the police even noticing it. Paranoid? Far from it. Just pointing out the facts that seem to point to selective policing.
  17. Love the blues but it isn't going to fix that defence. Every time I watch them I get the blues.
  18. What's the point in having a banner no one can make out? If you want to say no children were harmed in the making of our club then at least make it so that it can be read
  19. MW stays for this season and next (depending on what happens this session). But there needs to be a lot of work and changes to what he sees as his best 11 currently.
  20. So why post it if you have doubts on it being true?
  21. So the entire loo was destroyed? Wall partitions, air con, loos all mashed to a pulp, but the sinks and mirrors remained intact? Pish. I just don't see this as being real.
  22. How often did the tims play the ball down our left hand side especially in the first half. They saw it as a weakness. Why does our defence stand 5 yards off an opposition attacking player. Why can't our centre backs communicate or understand each other. Why does everyone know our defence is a fuckin embarrassment except our management team.
  23. No but as above I didn't expect anything from that game. Today we should have been able to do a hell of a lot more. Garner looks like the kind of player who would stuck the head on a defenders studs just for laughs but there's no point in having a fearless forward if there's no one to pass the ball to him. Miller either plays through the middle or not at all. There's a lot lacking that the management should see but are blinkered to. One thing about Souness was that any signing he made that didn't fit in was quickly moved on. The problem with Warburton is that he doesn't want to be proved wrong seemingly. And how the fuck can't Weir and Warbuton see the defensive problems.
