I understand using owned photos instead of paying Getty. I have to do it in my job. But do we believe that the Daily Record as part of a larger group doesnt own other copyright to photos of someone capped for his country 79 times and played over 200 times for Arsenal and Galatasary?

Watching the goals... 4 of them (including ones which were tap ins from rebounds) were from shots that were on the ground, low, across the goal etc... the keeper had to dive down and parry away (then we followed up). Wonder if this is something theyve beem told to do or just coincidence. Seemed effective.

No one believes me when I say he was my favourite non-Rangers player ever. There are older fans on here who may remember Pele, or have a soft spot for Dalgleish. There are younger fans on here watching the modern game who may adore Ronaldo or Messi. But Steven Gerrard's passion for club and country should never be overlooked. He never acted like a cunt. He was a true professional footballer. He was at Liverpool for years while his English playmates jumped ship from their respective clubs. He understands the game from playing as a kid to playing at the highest level. His attitude is cleary respected by the English media. But some friends and workmates think I only respect him because he is our manager. Anyway, this is a longwinded way of asking what you thought of him as a player? Highlights... low points...?

For the first time in a few years the lone striker didnt look alone. He was never isolated. Obviously need to see how it pans out over the next few games but it worked well.

Gerrard's passion is clear. His "go for it when you smell blood" (paraphrased quote) is good to hear. Hopefully means that when we are u 2-0 or 3-1 we can see the team are on the ropes aand we dont just sit back. We physically go for it.
