  1. Context is the important word here,Add the sweary words and that could see you arrested But here's the problem... The police's FOCUS group and the woman in charge states that use of the word fenian and H** used on there own isn't classed as offensive. NBM state the exact opposite from what the police FOCUS group woman says,NBM state the following on the use of the word H** Offensive sectarian language is still used in Scotland on a daily basis, with abusive terms such as “H**” and “Orange bastard” being used negatively against Protestants (or those perceived to be) and others such as “Fenian” and “Tim” used negatively against Catholics (or those perceived to be). States this on their website here > http://nilbymouth.org/history/ Now being both organisations, Police Scotland and NBM are funded by taxpayers money,How on earth can two organisations have two totally different opinions when both of their goals is to stop sectarianism but the views on both words are totally different. One organisation says the use of the words are of an offensive sectarian nature and the other organisation says the words are fine used on their own without the sweary words. These are two groups that are funded by taxpayers,More particular NBM are purely funded by the Scottish government,Yet have an opposite opinion from the police but supposedly singing from the same hymn sheet ... Absolutely bizarre.
  2. Build up play excellent as Novo leaves two defenders for dead, cuts the ball across, absolutely sublime cut back and ball curled in first time from Mendes into the top corner. Funny thing is if you watch it you can hear the roars as soon as it leaves Mendes boot. Fantastic goal and up there with the best.
  3. Linesman took ill and the game had to be stopped,Had a replacement linesman and Hibs refused to continue with the game and the match was abandoned while Rangers were leading. Quite obvious why they refused as they knew some of the more experienced players wouldn't be playing in a re-arranged game because they were first team players returning from injury.
  4. That story is all over the place,Reading it it looks like the company who own the LED boards are suing the wrong people and instead should be suing Hampden as they were responsible for them as they rented them.. Why they are suing the council is utterly bizarre. But more to the point... Hampden has insurance and so do the people who own the LED boards... Both of them seem to be passing the buck. Don't also see how it would be possible to sue both clubs for the damage,It's like my son's going out and smashing something up and the owner suing me for the damage. That story is all arse from elbow.
  5. Can't find any of him scoring,But there is a youtube video of him doing so against the unwashed,Maybe someone can screengrab it and crop it. Don't know if any of these will be any good to you,This one has a watermark from Willie Vass on it and sure if you emailed Willie Vass he would have the picture without the watermark and would perhaps help you out.
  6. Thinking about it your correct,Sometimes when your'e angry you don't think properly and jump in with both feet and your'e quite correct as now really isn't the time for the reasons you stated. My apoligies
  7. Can i ask why they have been removed ? Why shouldn't they be shamed.
  8. Absolutely horrific what has happened today,I wish a speedy recovery to those of the Rangers family that have been injured and my sincere condolences to the fellow bear's family and friends. R.I.P Fellow bluenose Sad sad day indeed
  9. Taken today from their comments section... Called them today in regards to the below disgusting comments about the tragic bus crash today in which a poor Rangers fan lost his life and others were seriously injured,Told them they should be ashamed that they have allowed disgusting things like this in a national newspaper and promptly asked for them to be removed and the comments closed. Notice that they have removed some of the more disgusting ones but have still failed to remove them all and not closed the comments. Email will be sent to their editor over the weekend and may also make a complaint to IPSO.
  10. Next time your at Ibrox,Walk along to the gates at the Broomloan end,Directly facing the gates look left and up and have a look at the window which hasn't been cleaned for years. They are not interested in anyone helping,I even offered last year to pay for one of those mobile pressure washing trucks to go round the stadium cleaning the slabs and other things needing done,Even offered to paint the handrails outside Argyle house free gratis and told me the maintenance staff attend to this,That was a year ago and still hasn't been done. Loads of people have offered to help free of charge and many offering to pay for things they need out their own pocket and give up their own time. They always cite the health and safety laws as a reason why they can't allow anyone to do the work. Funny thing is that they don't seem to have any problems with health and safety when asking for people to help set up card displays or others doing it.
  11. Feel free to add mate,It's something we are all interested in,It's good also for perhaps our younger supporters who may never have seen some of the pictures. Here's a couple more.
  12. Part 3 Copland road end being prepared for new stand Mr Struth and his dog New Govan stand seating being fitted Ibrox 1920
  13. Part 2 An illustration from 1902 the first Ibrox disaster. Mr Struth's office with his canary in it's cage at the window. Building of the main stand Barrage balloons being raised in the Ibrox car park Groundstaff installing new tannoy on main stand roof Old Ibrox cocktail room Original old walk in safe within the main stand Ibrox pitch being re-laid circa 60's Most beautiful picture in world football
  14. Match worn stuff goes for hundreds,Might be an idea to contact some of the players on twitter and ask if they could donate anything like shirts or boots and sign them and inform them of the good cause it's going to. Publicity is King when trying to fundraise.
  15. Don't play football games,But those are pretty good. Well done
  16. I like the one above the superstore,Would much rather someone walked around the stadium attending to all the rusty metalwork and giving it a fresh coat of paint, power washing all the concrete slabs in the concourse behind the 3 stands where the turnstyles are,Sorting out the entrance to Argyle house which outside looks like it's never been cleaned and given it's now the main entrance for most people walking in to it you would think you were walking into an office in some dingy industrial estate and it's far from befitting of a club with the rich history Rangers has. Blindfold someone,Walk them in to Argyle house and ask them where they are and they would have a puzzled look on their face,The decor consists of cream paint,a wooden desk and a tv which runs all day with nobody watching it,It is really a bland place for first point of contact with the club. Nope just let's spend thousands on big pictures and hang them on a wall where hardly anyone will see them on a non match day...I really despair with the people running the club... First impressions is important in any business but as always those running it seem to know best and don't seem to ever listen to anyone. That money could have went a long way to cleaning around the confines of the stadium... Well done Gilligan
  17. I love how in the picture the great man just sitting on his chair, legs crossed casually watching the game
  18. From day one there was something wrong,None of them were elected to the RFFF committee and they all elected themselves in their secret meeting,There was no vote and two employees of Rangers were also on board. Ask any questions about balances or what the money has been spent on is met with a wall of silence or if your lucky you will be told to go look at their webpage. Funny thing is they were all only to happy to spread the link to donate over every Rangers forum they could think of and quite happily answer questions. There is a multitude of things the remaining money could be spent on,But strangely despite numerous suggestions and quite a lot of good ones.. They ignored them all and decided that the money was to be spent on a stand that the vast majority of Rangers supporters would never use or indeed see. They also claimed it would be impossible to cast a vote as many who donated might be unaware of having a vote,So thousands of Rangers fans donated but the money will be spent by six people on an unelected committee to be spent on to appease the Rangers board. Rangers should be funding any stand which is to be built... This is fans money which they donated to help the club while in admin,It wasn't intended as a complete freebie when the club were in a better place,For the board to bend peoples ears on an unelected committee to spend it on something those who donated will never see or use. I wonder what the promises were for doing the good deed. I still reckon there is a way to stop them from going ahead with this and forcing them to listen to the very people who donated the money... They won't even post balances or what the money has been spent on and if you ask uncomfortable questions they simply ban you from their site... Dingwall knows more than he's letting on and no more than an arselicker who bows to the board.
  19. More pics coming in the next hour, quick cuppa and i'll start uploading them.
  20. Right i cleared up the issue with picture 5 at last. In the above picture in the space between the Broomloan and enclosure you can see a building with a white roof,Directly under this you can see something brown and under the brown a lighter shade of brown What you are seeing is the Arco building that sits on Broomloan road,You have the white roof, then corrugated panels which is the darker brown and the lighter brown is the wall,You can also see quite clearly a couple of people walking along the road and you can see a lamp post. It's just the angle of the picture that makes it look like something else,You can also see the enclosure barriers at the end which start to sweep round. Have a look here on google maps and you can see the building in line with the club deck,You might need to zoom in slightly. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@55.8526643,-4.3062031,310a,20y,280.17h,44.96t/data=!3m1!1e3
  21. Yea just noticed that and it does look odd,I think it's the roof of the Arco building at the corner of Broomloan road and just the way the picture was taken which makes it look odd. Looking in to it just now.
  22. Thought i'd post these before going to my kip,The enclosure one i haven't seen before. John Greig testimonial Old Ibrox pressbox One last one for tonight for the lurkers..We've always been called The Rangers
  23. I've yet to see any damage to LED boards caused by Rangers fans... Do i think people climing over them would damage them ? No i don't given how robust they are and protected at the front by heavy duty plastic grills,The lighting modules are actually behind these grills and they are pretty sturdy. Jumping over them wouldn't damage them,The only thing that would damage them is if they were pulled over and people jumped hard on the back of them,They are also reinforced at the front because they face onto the pitch,The damage is done to the back of them as that is were all the circuit boards are bolted on and the plastic is thinner. These boards are rented to the SFA... So shouldn't the SFA have insurance to cover any damage to the boards,The company that owns them will have insurance also,But i can see the point why a company wouldn't want to claim their insurance given they may have a very high excess,But that's what insurance is for. If you hired a big sound system for a big party and someone at your party wrecked the sound system.. Your still responsible regardless who caused the damage.
