Halliday did his job today,i'm not sure why he is getting stick, he is playing as a holding mid, he gets slagged off for going fwd too much then this season he sits and he gets slagged for that...he did his job today

Warbs is the right manager, he was told he needed to finish second minimum....he is in second and will finish second and was given the tools to finish second......consolidating..go again next season, build and get closer to them

Warbs is still the right manager to take us fwd - I couldn't go back to watching long ball football, he is changing the entire club top to bottom and inherited a mess. He has been given the tools to finish second, and he is in second and still in the cup. Saying that his main striker who he picked pulled him out of the mire makes no sense....Miller did his job today, he is paid to be the main striker. He needs backed in the summer with real funds, if we don't have real funds then changing the manager won't make a difference anyway as we still won't challenge...Patience is key, otherwise, we would end up changing the manager after every season or by christmas and never be any further fwd.

Halliday was in a holding mid position and played well...i don't know how much creativity you guys want from him. Motherwell were snuffed out at every attack other than the goal which had nothing to do with Halliday

We as a fan base judge too quickly and are too negative ( Ibrox noise is a site that springs to mind - fucking hate it), anyway look at Armstrong at Sellick it took him a couple of seasons to come good. Mackay was getting slagged off left right and centre only 2 months ago... In saying that - halliday was poor against the Germans and with Rossiter not being fit..ever, then you have to worry about the holding mid role, we should maybe give it to a defender and not an ex winger. Or play with a different formation 4231.....There is a guy called Eustace looking to get fit.....

TBH i think Tav is better in midfield with Hodson behind him ...he is another that is lacking confidence, most fans are complaining about Halliday but the way we play puts pressure on the defensive players and a lot of 1v1's at the back. Rossiter will be like Crooks and not match fit, so if he isn't playing well fans will just get on his back instead of giving him time, so he will be a sub or one for next year. So for me a defender in that holding spot is better than an attacking mid.

We keep talking about bringing players in...but this is what we have and we just don't have the money; maybe with european footy Warbs will get more. With the players we have right now and not injured i would play: 352 Wes Keirnan Hill Wilson Wallace Waggy Windass Halliday Mackay MOH Miller I realise it is a bit ambitious but Wallace could be tried as the holding mid role giving Halliday a chance to see if he can stake a place as an attacking mid....Wallace would supply alot of energy in the position and is quick, i think Waggy is better coming on the ball and not as a target man so if we haven't got the players for target man (Garner) play with pace and movement up front. For me we are easily the second best team in the league and if Warbs does get money he needs to recruit players for the first team and not for the rotating squad system.

Why would we change a winning team... no tinkering please & Wilson's passing was fantastic last week... I liked when Waggy came on even though he couldn't hit a barn door...he is all about confidence that lad & him and Garner give us something more physical up front but as said ...no change please and lets get consistency...

Really surprised at any negativity about Garner, even though he isn't scoring, the way he plays finally allows us to compete physically and opens up space for midfielders running through. We still pass the ball but now we also lump it if need be and it sticks as we pressure teams high up the pitch. Also some of Wilson's long passes were sublime, especially the one to Miller in the first half. We might not want to be second but securing second place comfortably and getting Warbs to go again next year would be what I want.... he doesn't have the budget to compete against them, but if he can stop the rot and put proper distance between us and the rest he can push for a bigger budget next year.

I don't jump on the hating of the MSM bandwagon and even when necessary, i used to ( long time ago) like that Rangers handled things quietly and with dignity; I know that isn't the feeling on here but it's how i felt. Jesus christ we were good yesterday, only do our fan base call for the head of the manager after winning a game and being second in the league when he was never given the tools to ever challenge for first. He has taken a team that finished third in the championship and got hammered 5-1 by motherwell into a team that is now in second place and has spent circa £3M to do it.... pretty fucking good going.

I'm Trying to think more positively than that ! Still Mullholland was asked to be Southampton's director of footy and there academy is streets ahead so i'm all for trust and patience....cause we have no money, so if this doesn't work we are screwed.

Must admit i struggled getting it into my head, that the result doesn't matter at youth level, it's about the quality of the individual to progress. Our lack of patience means our youth team needs to have a winning mentality otherwise they won't get what playing for us means and we are not preparing them for the expectation levels. Still i think we are doing the right thing and also think we will get traction before 2020..hopefully ! Hardie is an out and out striker so i don't think he will fit into Warbs "ethos" but i think Thomson should be brought back at Christmas and for me Gilmore, Burt and Serge Atakayi will be knocking on the door within two years.

Mullholland has stated they can't be judged until season 20/21 as that will be the first group of players coming through that they have been responsible for all the way through the system, they have stated it take a minimum of 5 years.

I love how the youth team is set up, forcing players to play in grades above, meaning they are always challenged, but we are not an easy team to bring youth players on;our support are not the most patient, McKay is the latest to get moaned at for a mistake, but Adam was the same. We want one of our own to come through but we tend to not give them much slack.
