McLeish was still a gamble when he took over. Imagine if social media was around back then. He would be getting slated as someone who hadn't won a trophy. 3rd and Scottish cup final hardly screams Rangers title winning manager.

The thing to remember is Clarke came in October and in 6 months took a team that were rock bottom to a possible 4th place finish. That for me is some achievement. He's also showing he can get results in the league. Unbeaten vs the old firm in 5 games isn't something to look down on.

Its agree to disagree on this one. But I feel with our resources he could do a job and get us back challenging.  He should at least be in contention.

My other pick would be MPH.

    Who would you go for?

As I have already said, it only shows me you have much lower standards for our club than I do.

I do agree with you with MPH though, he does a have proven record in winning with large clubs that were underperforming. He's my choice from the candidates I've seen so far.

We got Mcleish from Hibs and he hadn't won anything as a manger before. He also lacked European experience.  He left with 7 trophies and became the first manager of a Scottish team since 93 to get past the group stages of the champions league. Previous experience of winning titles and trophies doesn't guarantee success. See PLG for that one.

Clarke is getting results in the league we want to win. In 2018 he's taken more points than the scum with a limited squad. The guy would be manager of the year if Brenda wasn't chasing another treble.

He's doing this by playing to his squad strengths instead of trying shoehorn them into a system or philosophy they are ill equipped for like our past 3 managers.

If he's given the Rangers job I expect he would play to our squads strengths.

McLeish had a multi-million pound squad of winners, guys like Prso Arteta Boumsong Ferguson DeBoer. Even average players at that time were guys like Rodriguez and Hemdami, they would be superstars in this team.

He was on a cost cutting mission yes however he was still spending a lot more than what we do just do now. He also took a mediocre Hibs team from the first division to 3rd as well as Scottish Cup final, this is way better than what Clarke has achieved, and McLeish was at the start of his career. He proved he could do it year on year. Clarke his whole career has always had a good first season then the second on has been terrible.

Coming a highest of 4th in this league is not an achievement, McInnes has a better record than him going by that logic, and he's another that isn't good enough.

We need someone who knows what it takes to win, who knows the how to handle the pressure of winning season after season. Not some flash in the pan in a mediocre Scottish league.

He's taken a mediocre squad with the 9th largest wage bill in the league straight up the table - beating both the Old Firm sides in the process. They'd almost certainly be competing with us for 2nd if he'd taken over in the summer.

He hasn't won anything in his managerial career, he doesn't know what it takes to win titles and trophies, to compete in europe. We're also a different beast from Kilmarnock, has he ever proved he could handle a club like ours? No he hasn't, he hasn't done anything in his career to be given the privelege of even being considered. As I said it only shows how far our standards have dropped.

  4. The fact that a manager who finishes 4th in Scotland, and having a career winning the square root of fuck all, is wanted by our support just shows how far our standards have dropped. He may have taken 11 out 15 points against the old firm this season but how many people here can say that they would be happy putting 10 men behind the ball and hitting on the counter? Does managing Kilmarnock and their players come with the same pressures of managing us? We put too much importance on the fact his team has beaten us this season...which is quite frankly the worst team I've ever seen us have. He might steady a ship and guarantee 2nd however not one person should be accepting 2nd.

  5. He looks lost, just like every other player. Why is he standing there, where are his teammates, why are the others just fannying about, why is nobody getting him involved, why is there nothing to be involved in, where are the warming up routines, where's the professional lism...There is absolutely no leadership from top to bottom at our club and it's sickening to see. We have some good players that would have strived in previous teams with proper Rangers players round them. Instead we have a club that is depressed.

Agreed he should not be posting such things as puts Greg in an impossible position.

Greg is putting himself in the impossible position by talking about confidential club information with non-employees. Should be sacked if true.

  7. He's 20 years old in his first season in the first team. He's played a handful of games and been out injured longer than he's been playing. He got played in his weaker position next to guy that's better suited checking out library books. I think it's a bit unfair to blaming him.

The Dude will be along to tell you that it has been in all the papers and reported in the news, and that it can't be reported as strongly as as our "fraud" as it's children who have been abused. Nothing to see here.

Great articles, thanks for sharing ?

Yes exactly, the guardian down south then highlighted this. Crewe's response does indeed shame football.

Take that in comparison to how the Scottish media are responding to the response of scum fc. The media in Scotland dereliction  of duty is clear for all to see and all in the name of protection for one football club.

    100% agree. It’s genuinely scandalous.

Serious question...if the MSM media are turning a blind eye, what do we do? What's the next step in making sure this all comes to light?

Stonewaller.   If there was no contact why did goalie go off.

The guy's face was covered in blood, are we meant to believe he just had a wee sachet of tomato sauce hiding in his glove.

Morelos ran away with his hands over his mouth as he knew the keeper had taken a sore one, he genuinely looked horrified. How can this possibly be a yellow? Ridiculous decision.

Players are rotten mate , it’s not all on Murty , there’s no chance we’re challenging or winning the league with the current calibre of player , no manager in the world could win the league with defenders who cans defend and centre mids that don’t create or score all season

Yet when we were on a run of 6 games we looked brilliant. Their ability hasn't changed, must be the way they're being managed.

  12. Capatalism. We sell out our £27 seats, why would they lower the cost? Or why would they charge wee shite teams more when they struggle to sell at £16? This is literally how business in the western world works. If you want it to change then vote differently.
