Is it really "better" though? I don't know anyone that ever watches it for one. All I see is a retirement home for 35 year old big names, and the younger big names clearly leave Europe to go there for an all expenses paid holiday whilst getting paid big wages for the privilege. With not much coverage worldwide and not very big viewing numbers for a country of 325,000,000. It might have technically better players and more money, but it ain't actually better than home.

This was likely his last ever chance to do something with us but he's clearly not got a great love for football. He's proved he sees it as something he was ok at and is using it as an easy way to have a healthy bank balance and be set for life then retire into a quiet, comfortable life with his family and close friends. We will get much better than him for not much money at all.

I'd genuinely be worried for his safety if that were to happen. I was a youngster when he was banging the goals in and he was a Rangers hero of mine. He's left a lot of Bears disillusioned with him. He still talks us up but was a definite shitebag at the end, no getting away from that.

Sometimes we focus too much on wanting a top class manager. Maybe we just need long term consistency with a good manager and build from there. Teams have won leagues before with non big name managers. It's about getting everyone on the same page and instilling the belief we can do this. I'm sure winning 55 and getting to the Champions League and legendary status is a massive incentive for our players, and if the manager and players always give 100% belief and effort then it will be achievable. Leicester City springs to mind!

I'm not disputing they are clearly ahead of us. But we showed at the torbett slums if we get proper stuck into them, and also the hearts 4 nil pumping of them and the amount of scrappy wins and draws they've had, there are ways to beat them and reign them in. Let them run with their attitude that 10IAR is a certainty while we grow stronger and proper get to grips with the Premiership after our damaging wilderness years. It ain't over yet. Of course, if we go on a patchy run then fair enough, let's just see if we can build 10 wins in a row first!

They have had a rubbish transfer window and are showing cracks. All it takes is a great run by us and a few defeats and some draws for them and it's on this season.
