Was at the Player of the Year do and Mark Allen did say something along the lines of, 'fingers crossed we could have an exciting summer' which makes me think there may be something else lined up thats a bit higher profile, but that could be wishful thinking. To be fair tho, wasn't that long ago Aribo was being linked with Arsenal and Man City - if we pull it off as looks likely its a bit of a coup.

Feel better about this one - looks like he is direct, aggressive and with an eye for goal. You don't get offered a 5 year contract by Klopp unless you have something, with the options they have available in attacking areas. I think the gaffer is going to be pretty ruthless about end product in final third this season, if you don't provide goals or assists from those areas someone else will get their chance. The likes of Candeias could find out just workrate isn't enough, which is the way it should be.

Grezda for me has looked 'slightly less shite' on the right when I've seen him. Whether thats encouraging or not, who knows? But you're right, a preseason might change him, fuck knows. I do worry he'll be sent back to Croatia on loan tho, and then disappear into obscurity.

shld target 3 top players for me if Morelos goes in summer (would expect 15M min): one striker capable of holding ball up and playing on his own, an attacking creative number 10 and a top drawer centre half. We have Murphy and Jones coming in on wings and I'd be trying to get Kent for another yr on loan or buy him depending on fee. Hopefully leveraging Gerrards relationship with Liverpool and fact the boy loves it here.

Two games in a row I've seen him at Ibrox and loved the dynamic he brings to our midfield. He gets about, impacts the game, and is useful and composed on the ball. Jack, Kamara and Arfield complement each other better than any combination we have, we struggle when we have too many like for like midfielders and have done all season. A steal for the money. Well done whoever made the call to bring him in

The young boy is versatile and has huge potential. I think he's perfect for games when we need some extra steel in midfield and reckon alongside Goldson he can develop as a CB as well but will have mistakes in him so shouldnt be risked in that position against the better sides yet. I'd like him in there against the scum and the sheep where we want to win the fight, but Kamaras form atm makes him impossible to leave out. He'll have his say when other players form dips. Quality option and still young.

Most annoying thing for me about Gerrard is for a guy who is one of the greatest midfielders of his or any generation, we've had a sub-standard midfield in almost every game of the season. In fact the only games where we've look good are games like scum at home, and 2nd half Rapid, where our midfield actually turned up, got on the front foot and impacted the game. He's had all season to work with the players and Jan opportunity to find better ones and we're still seeing the same thing game after game. Too many players who pass side to side. No-one playing with their head up. No-one capable of finding a pass, beating a man, running beyond a striker, or having a shot from outside the box. Tav, Candeias and Barasic delivery is frustrating but that's made worse by the fact that if they don't create, or Kent or Morelos don't on their own, we don't do anything. Because we get fuck all going forward from midfield in almost every game, with exception of Arfield on a good day.

Think Jack and Shinnie are different types to be fair. Jack has more class and more tidy on the ball. More like a European style defensive mid. Shinnie is a wee aggressive bastard thats always effective in Scottish football and gets about the pitch. I think there'd be a use for him in the squad. That said: I'm not gonnae greet if he goes elsewhere, but think its a good free.

Makes a nuisance of himself and impacts games, and is a goal threat. No really like his auld man or uncle, not really that cultured but has some technical ability when it comes to striking a ball. Maybe he's ultimately just a Doherty with more games and we have a similar/better player on our books. Would watch him closely next season tho, def potential. I'd take Shinnie in a heartbeat if its for free. He's not a world beater but he's versatile, has fight in him, takes initiative in games and would be an excellent squad option.
