RangersAndy 0
I would say that is his best performance by far post serious injury. Very solid and helped to thwart celtic's creativity, well done stevie!
gsa 3,906
I thought he done well, the fact is we won't know how good he can be until he plays 6 - 10 games in a row but under wally that is unlikely.
Guest The Brown Brogue
Each to their own, I though he was raped a number of times, by McGeady especially, and stood off their wide men far too much and gave them all the time in the world to get a cross in. Some of his deliveries from set-pieces were decent though.
simplythebest 11,453
Steven Smith will never be good enough.
docspiderman 1,315
Each to their own, I though he was raped a number of times, by McGeady especially, and stood off their wide men far too much and gave them all the time in the world to get a cross in. Some of his deliveries from set-pieces were decent though. Think that is a better assessment; he makes very poor decisions defensively.
Muff 245
I don't rate any of our full backs, defensively.
RedWhiteBlue1872 407
Stevie Smith only has a good delivery, apart from that hes very very average. ie - not good enough.
Muff 245
Some of his balls are also horrendous. The injuries have certainly slowed him down - his lack of pace at times in almost Kirk Broadfoot-esque.
MasterD 7,457
Thought he got caught out a number of times not being anywhere near his man down the left
Tumshie 205
Thought he had a good game today and if he is given a run in the team he could get back to where he was. At the moment he isn't any better than Papac who is off-form
RangersAndy 0
You're all being way to harsh imo. mcgeady is a wee rat but he has proved he is a handful for more than most fullbacks given the chance and i thought smith ddi well to keep his effectiveness to a minimum

El-Hadji Spit RFC 756
Always been a fan o Steven smith, never understood why he gets so much stick. Thought he played ok considering he's played next to fcuk all fitba. Well played lad
BlueSuedeSambas 56,547
Smith's versatility and ability to deliver a good ball make him a decent enough player to have in and around the squad. However I don't think he'll ever be good enough to command a regular first team spot. If we can get some money in the kitty I'd like us to go and buy Wallace from Hearts and, if he continues to impress, Moutaouakil from Motherwell. I don't care who they play for at the moment, both have the potential to be fantastic players and better than anything we currently have.
