Ryan_1 1,136
Neither player starting particularly well, a lot of nerves out there and a lot of rather poor shots.Haven't seen the stats but I can't imagine either player is getting a lot of first serves in.Murray beginning to grow in confidence it seems. Good forehand sets up break back point. Which he wastes with a slack backhand that goes long.Cilic is playing himself into trouble with his lack of first-serves, they're arguably his big weapon.Another break point gone as Cilic comes into the net and volleys well. Deuce.Another break point (gained on another second serve).Cilic saves (on the first serve) with a rather fortunate net-clipping shot that could have gone either side. Two quick points and a strong forehand and Cilic holds.I have Murray to win 3-0, so he'd better start breaking Murray just isn't finding his length at the moment, but that last game was better. Just needs to start converting his break point chances and become more aggressive. Clic's shot power is immense.
Creampuff 22,628
It seems sometimes that Murray doesn't have any real gameplan on break points. He looks a little lost during them atm.
Creampuff 22,628
Very solid service game from Cilic.Hold to love.

Ryan_1 1,136
Murray loses his first set in the Australian Open. 6-
Creampuff 22,628
Horrid service game from Murray - looked beaten by 0-15. Cilic wins the first set 6-3. Murray needs to find a way to deal with Cilic's power - something which he's normally pretty good at. The stats are interestingly close, Murray serving more aces and making fewer unforced errors, with Cilic hitting 1 or 2 more winners. Murray needs to take every break opportunity he can get - because Cilic could very well break him again in the next set.
Creampuff 22,628
Bet365 still have Murray at 8/15. Cilic tremendous value at 6/4.
Creampuff 22,628
Both players now in all white. That's not confusing, thanks Andy.
Ryan_1 1,136
Murray needs to start finding his first serve from the off in this set, it's what Rafa Nadal found so hard to handle. He needs to start getting Cilic on the back foot.
Creampuff 22,628
Murray needs to cut the silly errors, two mistakes and he's 0-30 down. Finally finds some first serves and (as Ryan_1 suggested) he wins the points for 30-30.Wins a point off of a second serve - is there anyting this boy can't do? 40-30.Nets a rather poor stroke into the net, never looked comfortable after a poor second serve. Deuce.Wins a few quick points and it's 1-1.Murray needs more first serves in. He also needs to find a few of better dealing with Cilic's raw power. Creampuff 22,628
Where's the aggressive attitude that he used against Nadal?!
Creampuff 22,628
Floated returns and poor shot selection. I can't see this set going any other way than Cilic atm. And I can't see Murray coming back from 2 down against Cilic.
simon 1,758
This is poor from Murray, he needs to get a break to get him playing well. He really needs to take his chance.

Creampuff 22,628
One of the finest break points you'll ever see Murray play.Cilic looks to have gotten another fortunate net clip but Murray somehow made it and played it back over.Cilic smashes a backhand which Murray somehow controls over.Murray chases a Cilic lob and on the turn plays an astonishing forehand winner.Game on!
