IamthatIam 1
The majority of the EPL clubs are in much more debt than us. This season could see the 1st Premiership club go into administration ie. Portsmouth. See pict below for a more detailed diagram of how the EPL stands. pcbear 10,924
Chelsea lost £60m+ and £40m+ over the last couple of seasons that gave them £340m debt, Abramovich wrote it off through creative accounting. Even West Ham are stuck with £110m Liverpool £loads, theres only one Abramovich so the house of cards may well become an issue sometime in the future. When mediocre players are demanding and getting 60-70k a week and theres plenty of them at most clubs that must be a recipe for disaster.

linfield1690 4,249
mabey by the time these epl clubs implode the spl could be seen as an atractive option for investors as most clubs in the spl are now learning to live within thier means and hopefully be run as profit run buisnesses it could work in our favour but its still a few years off yet
Bradfield 35
Hearts' debt is around the same as ours (owed to a madman), and Kilmarnock's is far bigger in comparison to their turnover as well I would guess.
cooper1989 0
It's just a matter of time before the EPL has serious issues with most clubs. Has to happen. Far too much debt and their reliance on SKY makes it all the more probable that something has to give -- eventually. Might be rosy now... Doubt it will last. Also, wasn't UEFA coming up with a 'plan' to punish clubs that spend more than they take in?
