PaulRFC1 115 Posted February 20, 2011 Share Posted February 20, 2011 Abysmal display.David Weir was pathetic, he was at fault for the first 2 goals and his pace is an absolute embarrassment.Walter Smith is so fucking stubborn and needs to leave.No Vladimir Weiss ? the fact Naismith was favoured to probably our most creative player because he works harder says it all about our management.Edu in the middle is absolutely pathetic and Davis is fucking worse, Davis is a shadow of the player he was last year.Diouf tried hard and created a couple of good chances but is stifled by awful tactics and a poor selection of players around him.Bartley could do fuck all in that team and tried hard.Where is Jelavic's massive thread ? Lafferty missed a few half chances and played poor and was absolutely slated on here and Jelavic was awful today and missed just as many chances.Celtic under Lennon are a team that are drilled to fight for the shirt and pass and move.Rangers under Smith are a team of shitebags who cant pass the ball 5 yards.Lafferty on before Weiss ? REALLY ? and then Healy comes on at the 70th minute when its too late as usual.Too stubborn to change and it has cost us the league.Absolutely fucking raging. He shouldn't be anywhere near the team. Good point about Jelavic. He doesn't look the part as a lone striker. Jury's still out though, he's just back from a serious injury so needs a bit of slack. Diouf was shocking. Too slow when in position, too many fancy flicks, couldn't beat a man and was more interested on arguing with the ref or causing a stir with the fans. Needs to let his football do the talking.Walter's desicion to put Lafferty on and not start Weiss considering Naismith's injury, was again another baffling moment from Walter.The team need a almighty boot right up the arse, the management need one too because we the fans deserve better than that. Ryan_1 1,136 Posted February 20, 2011 Share Posted February 20, 2011 How many times did you see Lafferty in his own box clearing the ball with headers? there is your answer. defend defend defend, Walters style.Or you can also see it, he was in the box defending, because the midfielders couldn't string more than four or five passes together and the ball was coming at the back four time and time again, which in process pushed us back meaning the likes of Lafferty had to defend.Although Walter Smith's tactics/subsitutions have been shocking of late, I cannot totally lay the blame on him. Why did we not bring Weiss on? 2-0 down, we needed an attacking influence. Similar story to the game on thursday night, we need to make SMART changes - not just for the sake of it!
