Ratings vs St Mirren

My thoughts on this game were that the team were generally AWFUL apart from the defence.

MacGregor: Generally competent or better - 7.5

Hutton - A good game but not quite his high standard of late- 7

Ugo - Great in the air, some fouls but very much a barrier to st Mirren - 7.5

Weir - As last - 7.5

Papac - not my favorite, but did not let us down for the day - 7

MIDFIELD of Burke, BF, Hemdani, Adam - all lumped together as MISSING IN ACTION - all get a 4

Boyd - Terrible day, but poor service - 5

Novo - Apart from the goal he nearly missed, he was awful - 5

Subs - Thomson - not on long -1

Sub - Prso - did quite well - 6

Overall verdict - DREADFUL, PATHETIC, DRIVEL.

McGregor - 7 - steady

Hutton - 7 - best attacking player.

Weir - 7 - made things look easy.

Ugo - 5 - gives away too many free kicks and can not pass the ball

Papac - 5 - not a left back in a month of sundays.

Burke - 3 - lazy, constantly missing in action.

Barry - 4 - huge disappointment, didn't try and pass the ball once, never looked to control the ball or have time on it.

Hemdani- 4 - worst game I have seen him play, again didn't look comfortable on the ball.

Adam - 4 - poor use of the ball, like a lot of the others looked hopelessly off the pace.

Novo - 5 - scored the goal but not a lot else. Ran about a lot covering for the imaginary Burke.

Boyd - 4 - oh dear. If only his shooting prowess at the moment was as consistent as his knowledge and judgement of the offside rule and free kicks.

Prso - 4 - the spirit is willing but sadly the old workhorse is not able to reach the finish line.

Thomson - 2 - for coming on the park and wasting a bit of time so we held on for a vital three points.

MOTM - Difficult decision but Hutton just shades it. championee

AM: 6.5 One or 2 good punches. Wasn't really called in to do much.

Hutton: 7 Heavily involved as usual, and put in a good shift.

Papac: 6 Completely untested, thank God.

Ugo: 6 Did alright, nothing more.

Weir: 7 Usual Weir.

Hemdani: 6.5 Tidy.

Barry: 6 Quiet.

Burke: 4.5 One good run was all he did.

Adam: 5 Did very little bar the speculative cross for the goal.

Novo: 6 Full of running and effort. No quality though. Usual stuff. Gets 6 for his goal.

Boyd: 3 Absolutely awful - wasted 2 gilt edgers. 2 stinkers in a row for him unfortunately.

Hemdani: 6.5 Tidy.

Barry: 6 Quiet.

No offense mate, but that really annoys me.

Hemdani done absolutly nothing in the game, as did Fergie, but Hemdani gets praise for it but BF gets critisised. (Not by you, in other threads)

WHY!?

Hemdani is unbelievably over-rated, IMO.

Neither Hemdani nor Ferguson get much praise today. But Ferguson is a better player, so we expect more from him, and are harsher to him when he lets us down. imo.

See if Barry was in the team to break up play and sit deep, he might get credit, But his job is to create, get forward and have shots on goal.

Hemdani does what he is in the team to do. This is why he gets credit for being tidy and he doesnt get critisized.

Hemdani has to play the forward pass more.

He has been great this season, but at times if there is forward and a backward pass on at the same time, he'll always choose to go back! Must be more ambitious with his passing in the SPL.

I think I could do Hemdani's job.

Always hold up play, no urgency, nothing going forward, no bravery, nothing.

Just a 10 yard pass to the side, which me or you could do.

A decent squad player, but Thomson offers us a lot more, IMO.
