Broxi 11,674
Swansea are set for a sensational swoop to sign French striker David Trezeguet. The former Juventus star is prepared to snub a move back to his native France for a crack at the Premier League. The 33-year-old is a free agent following his departure from Spanish side Hercules, who were relegated from La Liga last season, and Swansea have made the first moves to sign him.Former World Cup winner Trezeguet, who played 71 times for France, scoring 34 goals, saw a move back to Italy with Napoli break down last month.Swans boss Brendan Rogers is keen to lure a big name to The Liberty Stadium as a statement of intent as they return to the English top-flight for the first time in 28 years. But the newly-promoted Premier League side could face competition from SPL giants Rangers for Trezeguet's signature. kingbroadfooot 68
As far as I recall he started last season quite well, but, like the rest of his team, tailed off in the latter stages.
Ignacio 5
Younger and hungrier players please not pension top-up seekers, anyway we should be looking for another quick striker who likes to get in behind defences to partner Jelavic.

Much rather we bought younger players. He was good last year for Hercules, scoring 12 in 31, for a team that got relegated.Almost all the stuff you listed there happened about 5 years ago at least. Thats life. I agree, i would much rather we signed younger players, but they have to be good enough. We cant just turn our noses up at players because of their age.
