The Youth Players And Their Progress .

Just thinking about our youth players that are in and around the first team , our midfield mostly. We have Davis who Imo our best outfield player and without doubt our best central midfielder, but apart from Davis the centre of our midfield is poor with edu and mcculloch playing in there from the start of this season.

My point is that the young centre mids we have, Hutton and Ness are being hindered by the lack of quality 1st choice centre mids. IMO we should be playing one of either Ness or Hutton in midfield rather than mcculloch who is never a cm in his life. When Ferguson broke into the team he was training with high quality players that must have brought his game on a fair bit, guys like DeBoer Reyna Tugay where as Hutton and Ness are Watching Edu and Mcculloch.

It must be annoying for the young players watching guys being played out of position stoping them getting a chance in the first team.

Just wonder what your thoughts are on this

Must be fairly soul-destroying for the likes of Ness, Hutton and Fleck to see Edu/McCulloch getting played centre midfield week in week out when most of the performances they produce are severely inept.

I think Ness will play a lot this season if he can keep clear of injuries and he will improve our side in my opinion.

i dont buy into the views i regularly read on here about he must be sick and want out etc, imagine being there behind jig etc, they are young lads that likely appreciate what they older players have done in the game and im also sure the young ones dont sit like most on here abusing other players ands thinking they know better.

I hope ness gets his chance this season , was it his back that was giving him trouble? Think he went to a specialist about his injury and he know where's a support in his shoe as he had one leg longer than the other.

Young players in any team will look up to the older more experienced players, but if you are a young centre mid it must be frustrating when a player signed as a forward is put into the position you play keeping you out the side.

I think the general idea people have with the way rangers use youth will change this season, we will see more youth getting used as before, i am happy with this hence why i aint going Ott in gthe transfer activity threads when we lose out on someone, we need players but lets use the youths as most want that, i also think there is a fair few who dont rate the youth so much which is a shame

Totally agree mate. I don't see the point in paying over the odds or taking a chance on a player when there is a young player that will cost nothing to try. Thought our young players were good against Chelsea on Saturday really like the look of Bendikson .

The Youth Players And There Progress
doh

Where?

FFS! Can we ban people who don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're"? I mean, they must be tims, given the lack of comprehension in relation to the basics of the English language. It really is KDS stuff.

The thing is we have some talented youngsters who could do a better job than some of the first team members.

Jordan McMillan is capable of filling in a few positions, Jamie Ness is better than McCulloch and Edu, Gregg Wylde is better on the left than Ortiz and Papac, Kane Hemmings is a better option than Healy and Beattie.

When players are not performing instead of putting another first team regular out of position to cover them play one of the youth players who are capable of doing a job.

yup although maybe this is the idea as it only seems defenders are a priority and we aint over awed with good young defenders for some reason, i think we will see a couple of signings and then a couple of loanees and youth used more frequent throughout the season, its a risk playing youth but im confident we have some talent there, sure i heard somewhere you cant win nowt with kids

So you read my post and your main concern is my grammar mistake? It's obvious what I ment. I'm not bothered if my grammar is perfect in every post and I don't waste my time going around the forum correcting people when the point they are making is obvious!

You seem to imply that it takes some special effort of focus or concentration on my behalf.

It doesn't. It just stands out as an obvious and embarrassing error- one which should have been apparent to you as you typed it.

Sadly, it clearly wasn't.

Embarrassing? The only thing I'm embarrassed about is the fact that on a thread I started the only thing you wanted to do was highlight my grammar error ! The error was corrected, you could have passed comment on my post!

When I read threads and comments on this forum I don't disregard the point to highlight a grammar error. Get a life.

Are you a teacher? i find it pretty sad that posters feel the need to have a go about correcting spelling when it is perfectly readable and understandable, do you have the insight into other posters lives and why they do as they do

Justify the bit in bold. You seem to be inferring an action as being inextricably linked to some "need" for it, when in fact it was mere casual observation, related to my frustration at others' illiteracy.

FYI, yes, I do have great insight into many things.

I disregarded your post since I feel that if you do not know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're", your views on more subtle matters may well be equally flawed.

P.S. Thank you to Admin for correcting that embarrassing error.

Clarify what? you are stating spelling issues to posters like many on here, for what reason i do not know or care to understand, i just think it is sad and happens all too often.

Couldn't care less what you think. So you can jog on off this thread and leave the discussion to fans who are more interested in our club than correcting grammar !
