Why not move for Skacel

No, it means being over 30 shouldn't automatically rule a signing out (tu).

That was pretty much the argument a lot of people used for not resigning Kenny Miller. On the wane and whatnot. Alas, I agree that being over 30 shouldnt rule us out of signing someone, still dont think Skacel would get upto much though

We won't make a profit on them either.

well yea probably (though if we sold them now we certainly could) - point being, they are excellent footballers. If they are rocks at the heart of our defence for the next 3 years and we win three titles, would you think it is a waste of the few hundred thousand pounds we spent to buy them? Of course you wouldn't

What about Boca? Goian? Can't just say anyone over 30 shouldn't be signed. Thats nuts

The way things currently stand, there are 2 types of signings we should be looking at.

1 the older, more experienced players, a la Goianegra. Reaching the twilight of their careers with little chance of a future sell on fee, but affordable to us and with still enough in the legs to more than do a job for us.

2 taking a punt on younger players with bags of potential, who could be sold on for a huge profit. We've recently seen a fair few young Scottish players head south for a nominal fee who seem to be holding their own in a superior league to ours. We need to be looking for these types.

With the current financial restraints, the days of bringing in international superstars in their prime are a million miles off, and we must cut our cloth accordingly.

Just because skacel has scored goals with hearts doesn't mean he will for us.

  Read over that again. Basically like saying "Just because hes good for them doesn't mean he will be good for us". Fucking hell I don't even know what to say to that. Most idiotic thing I have EVER seen posted on here.

McCoist doesn't like him thats why he's not getting a game.

You talk some amount of shite btw. How do you know this!? Maybe Mckay has a terrible attitude in training. Maybe he's not good enough. Endless amount of options as to why he's not playing but obviously you know...oh wait, ye don't.

 Why don't you stop talking shite? Just because skacel has scored goals with hearts doesn't mean he will for us. when ever players come to Ibrox they seem to be struck with bad luck as soon as they come here. McKay hasn't played so how can u include in in the list?

McCoist doesn't like him thats why he's not getting a game. he could be a good player for all we know.

Fuck's sakes mate engage your brain. If he's scoring goals with hearts, given that we have won the league for the last three years would suggest he would get ample more opportunities to score with us. Im not saying the guy is world class but you tell me who's scoring from midfield at the moment

As for Mckay, could be as good as messi for all we know. Point is mate, he fucking usless sitting on the bench. Proved sweet FA so far. So until he fights for a place in the team and stops making snide remarks in the papers about our tactics, then he will reamin on my list.

Aye it should. Why pay good money for a player that we won't be able to sell later on?

He will be on a decent wage aswell.

Because not every player a football club signs needs to be made with regards to making a profit on them later on.

Going by your logic we would have turned down guys like Prso, de Boer, Weir, Bocanegra & Goian just because we can't sell them on for a profit doh

Said a couple of times that I would welcome Skacel on a short term deal.

He can play three or four positions, knows the league inside out, has loads of experience and is more attack minded than any midfielder we currently have. 18 goals from midfield in the past season and a half is pretty impressive.
