Gaz92 966
With it looking like a mass clearance this summer, and with a transfer embargo simply not viable, we're obviously going to need to bring as good as a whole new squad in. With the number of players possibly hitting 10 or more to leave, it's clear they won't be able to replace these players with a similar calibre of player. So as the title says, will players from the likes of Hearts, St Johnstone, ICT be willing to take a step down for the chance to play for the world's most successful club? Although they will be taking a step down in division (this is assuming it is to be the First Division next year) would players who would never have been deemed good enough to play for The Rangers be willing to take a step back from the SPL for what is almost certainly going to be a better long-term decision? RFC55 109,429
We are going to see some very shite players at Rangers but if they help rebuild us they wont be forgotten in our history. Im pissed off with the "we took a pay cut" brigade. If they had an ounce of love for the club they would transfer then go so we at least get money for them. Even if it was only 750k a player if ten go coupled with the wages saved we are on to a decent amount
Ricky_ 893
If we are in division 3 i would honestly say we have more pulling power than the bottom half of the SPL clusb (in terms of club size).Motherwell for instance have an average attendance of 5k a game. We'd smash that if we were comepting in a pub league. We got 40k+ for a charity game watching fat retired cunts havin a kick about.I honestly think that our vastly superior gate, & the prestige of playing for Rangers will give us more pulling power to sign players ahead of the likes of Motherwell, Inverness, St.Midden, etc...If we can hang on to a few of the top guys like McGregor and get full trasnfer value on him, of say 5m+ we'd be set up nicely to strengthen back to what better than what we are now. Remebr this squad is hugely depleted as it is, we've been scrounging for players since McLiesh took over, and when we signed Craig Beattie for £1m he was our first buy in over a year. Johnny Dangerously 7,562
Would players from St Johnstone and the like be willing to take a wage cut to come and play for Rangers in the 1st division? I'm not being funny, but thats what we could be looking at. Worrying times.

jcb 1,167
if we're in division 3, our gate income will still be better than the majority of the SPL teams. Fact. With the exception of Celtic, our turnover even in Division Three will outstrip ALL of the other clubs in Scotland. While the standard of player will be not be great, we will never be short of players wanting to play for the worlds most successful football club. TeamHero 62
I'll say it now...I'd happily take Ian Black and Kevin Kyle...reckon they would relish the chance and then in Black's case get a move elsewhere.

Kevin Kyle is not the answer imo. Hutton-Ness-Fleck-Hemmings have more of a case. (assuming they stay)
The Troll 12
Why would any SPL player want to play in the 3rd division ? Any who will be paying the wages? And there's STILL no club to even sign for
CottonRunt 978
Personally i would keep the money that comes in from match day and use it to pay for a proper youth academy and few top class scouts/coaches.
