ALLY McCOIST is ready to unleash Andy Little on Clyde on Sunday as Rangers seek their first away win of the season in SFL 3

The Light Blues have suffered the away day blues since the campaign began in August being held at Peterhead, Berwick and Annan and then defeated by Stirling Albion.

Having reached the top of the table after last weekend’s win over Queen’s Park the manager craves victory at Broadwood this Sunday and feels that the return of Little will help.

The Northern Irishman was out for six weeks with a foot problem but he returned as a second half substitute against Queen’s.

McCoist said: “Andy nearly scored with his first touch when he came on last Saturday and we feel he is ready to come back into the team.

“He gives us a lot of pace and energy up front as well as a goal threat so he is a player we have missed and he will come back into the reckoning to start the game on Sunday.

“With Andy available again we could alter our system. We can play a 4-4-2 set-up and indeed Andy can play wide so it’s another bonus.

“He has scored for us playing in the wider position and also in the hole so we have options.

“The result and keeping a clean sheet were the main positives from the weekend. It was first time we had not conceded in a home league game which was pleasing.

“We lost our way a bit for 10 minutes in the second half but apart from that we had the vast majority of possession and the better chances and deserved to win.”

We really need to point out to referees the kind of bad tackles our players are getting week in week out, was reading a neutral blog yesterday and even the person writing it said that some of the tackles were shocking and was suprised how little fuss our players made especialy the ones on Black and Alexander a couple of weeks ago. Its not a crime to call for protection for our players and we need to be more proactive about it as the mhedia certainly wont be.
