The bank did nothing legally wrong, so I doubt Whyte will have anything on them.

They were owed money by Rangers and Rangers duly paid it after Whyte gave it to the club. (On paper anyway).

The bank were under no obligation, other than money laundering regulations, to check the source of the funds. If Whyte borrowed it, what do they care ?

There are many needing their collars felt over what happened, but I don't think we can attach much blame to them. If you were owed nearly 20m by a company that could go bust any second, wouldn't you grab any chance to get your money out. ?

HMRC on the other hand are the root cause of all our troubles.

You forgot who was the head of the business banking group who stayed on well after he should have retired to get his part of the plan in action.
