roger9650 106
Thing I don't get is that x tickets were sold for the Leppings Lane end. This would've been based on similar matches and considered safe. So where did all the extra fans come from?
WadeWilson 4,670
Falsified alcohol levels in autopsy reports, the lot. Absolute filth. There are no depths to which they will not sink. The police, Duckenfield, News Corp, Murdoch, MacKenzie, Thatcher. Lying scum; each and every one of them complicit in the cover-up.
WadeWilson 4,670
Also, some on this thread trying to deflect from what happened here by mentioning Heysel. What the fuck is wrong with you people? You would think Rangers fans of all people would be sympathetic to what happened that day. No wonder it was so easy to pull the wool over the general public's eyes what with some of you lining up to do the mob's job for them.

Thermopylae 15,287
I was in the jungle that day too I always remember right at the end of the game a guy in front of us turned around and told us there was a problem down south and the terrible news was gradually broken via the car radio on the way home. Unfortunately for the Liverpool fans a lot of people would believe the polices lies because the Heysel was still fresh in everyones minds and of course the European ban it triggered was still in place. Still you have to say Kelvin MacKenzie believed it because he wanted to believe it ... since when do journalists swallow everything that the police or anybody else for that matter tells them? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/video_and_audio/headlines/36149872
JamieD 19,081
Kelvin MacKenzie retracted his apology in 2006, 17 years after the Taylor inquiry found that the accusations made by the Sun were false, and said he only made it because Rupert Murdoch forced him to. Does that sound like a man duped by the police?
