This is where I get all my PC stuff and do laptops as well mate. If its for gaming you could probs build a PC cheaper than a laptop but depends on what you need https://www.aria.co.uk/

Yata 161
PC Specialist are fucking brilliant, they have the best performance for price. Ive had two laptops from them now and not a single problem with either. When you go to customise your order I recommend deselecting windows from the operating system dropdown, it will save you about 40-60 quid and they will also just install a non-licensed copy anyway for you
HeHaw 513
You should really consider just getting a desktop man.

Jamie0202 12,401
OP probably has his new machine by now but since this thread is still going I thought I would add this. Performance in gaming laptops now EQUAL desktop performance or pretty close to it. Nvidia has just released the GTX 1080, 1070 and 1060 and dropped the 'm' from the names in the laptop range because they are basically the same cards as the desktops. Naturally you're paying a premium for having the power in a laptop but obviously to make things equal you would have to factor in the price of a monitor, mouse and keyboard on the desktop. Performance is now not an issue though. As for PC Specialist I have used them once and are the cheapest I've found for high end laptops. Low end doesn't seem to be as cheap and I tend to use Argos for the wife and kids laptops. I've had my gaming laptop for a few years now and it is still able to play the latest games albeit with reduced settings. With the new range of Pascal GPUs from Nvidia I'm seriously considering getting a new one and when I do I will definitely be using PC Specialist. They do finance deal (third party company) which doesn't charge interest if you pay the lot within a year. The last time I paid the set monthly installments but also worked out seperate payments over the year which I automatically transferred to my savings account. After the year this paid off the remainder incurring just a £35 early settlement fee but crucially no interest. If anyone is considering going down the finance route this is what I recommend as the interest can add over half the price of the laptop back on to the total amount payable. Obviously where the finance company makes their money. Another thing to note about PC Specialist is that even though their prices are already pretty decent you can save a good bit more by going in to the review section. This is where they have picked the specs of the machine and have sent it away to one of the many independent PC sites for them to review it. As long as you don't change any of the specs you get the machine at the discounted review price. Usually the machine is well balanced so no need to change anything. Last time I looked none of the laptops with the Pascal cards were in the review section but that's because they're new. If I'm getting one I'll wait until they appear there to save some cash. Shouldn't be long. Another thing is none of the laptops are available with a screen resolution larger than 1080p. The new GPUs are capable of more so IMO I would expect 3k or 4k screens soon. Just my opinion. EDIT - 3k and 4k screens are now an option (3k on the 15.6" paired with a 1060 and 4k on the 17.3" paired with either a 1070 or 1080). To stress again performance is just about equal in laptop GPUs. If anyone is interested in the new GPUs this article explains why they differ and how comparable they are their desktop counterparts. http://www.notebookcheck.net/Nvidia-Pascal-for-Notebooks-In-depth-Benchmarks-for-the-Geforce-GTX-1080-SLI-GTX-1070-and-GTX-1060.171566.0.html
