Who are the best in each position?

Simple as that. I don't mean a world 11, I mean who are your top 3 players on earth in each position. Ideally, base it on current form, and not reputation.

Goalie: (real dearth of serious options here tbh)

1: Cech

2: Cassilas

3: Jaskelainen

CB:

1: Nesta

2: Metzelder

3: Puyol

FB:

1: Abidal

2: Lahm

3: Jankulovski

CM:

1: Fabrigas

2: Frings

3: Essien

AM:

1: Deco

2: Lampard

3: Diego

SS:

1: Kaka

2: Ronaldinho

3: Raul

Winger:

1: C. Ron

2: Mancini

3: Giggs

Striker:

1: Ibrahimovic

2: Drogba

3: RVN

Have fun :)

Cassilas ( Incredible agility and shot stopping king)

Puyol ( Saves barca alot of the time)

Lahm ( Versatile and impressive both attacking and defensively)

Fabregas ( Everything you could want in a midfielder)

Lampard ( Great performance v west ham and is integral to that chelsea team)

Ronaldinho ( His form atm suggests he is getting back to his best)

Ibrahimovic ( An all round great striker in my opinion, wonder goals, skill, the lot. Tends to be a bit lazy sometimes though)

Heh, I think you misunderstand.

I meant to pick your own top 3 in each position :)

i agree with most of your choices but can i ask why metzelder is there?

Because I rate him :)

no doubt if it wasnt for injuries he would have become one of the best defenders in the world. but you said judge it on current form and metzelder has been injured for the past month and has only played 11 games this season.

Current as in this season. Not necessarily right now.

all right fair enough (tu) i still dont think that after only playing 11 games this season he is anywhere near the 2nd best centre back in europe :P but its a shame for him as he has all the attributes to be the best, just is too injury prone. hopefully he makes the euros this summer (tu)
