docspiderman 1,237 Posted March 24, 2008 Share Posted March 24, 2008 Interesting statistics about our goals scored this season in the spl which may fuel more discussion about systems and the sparing use of our natural striker. So far this season after 28 games we have scored 69 goals. For the whole of 2006/07; we scored 61 goals. For the whole of 2005/06; we scored 67 goals. Do these statistics justify Walters system, or his judgement of Boyd as 4th or 5th striker? Bearing in mind Celtic have already scored 5 more goals this season than their total for last season do these statistic mean nothing other than the rest of the teams are poorer? However on a more serious note, these statistics are very interesting. With all our "anti football" this season as some people call it, 69 goals is quite remarkable.
