It emphasised how the lighter handed approach to policing works better than the riot squad who generally provoke the trouble makers. It makes me think that Murray and Bain's words behind the scenes about the heavy handed nature of the policing in Manchester are being heeded. The point about the riot police provoking trouble was pretty much what Bain and Murray had said. (They were also critical of the selective choice of video released by the GMP.)
