He's 5 and 2 against Roddick, and Roddick didn't look too great against Monfils so Murray should win this one. He needs to make sure he takes advantage of the few break points he'll get.

If Murray wins, it's career title number 9.

He's also now clear favourite with the bookmakers for the Aussie Open.

Well done Andy

Wee bit history about A M

He had trials with the Hobos and the Mighty Rangers when he was in his teens.

Bet he is glad he decided to pursue a career in tennis rather than football

Conservative estimate of earnings over the next ten years = £100 mill :bouncy: :bouncy:

I definitely wouldn't call him 'clear favourite' over Nadal. There's a lot to be said for Federer's experience at slam level too.

You're right, but I earlier edited the post to "clear favourite with the bookmakers".

On current form he's the best player in the world.

He's beaten Federer the last 4 times they've played, Nadal the last 2 times they've played and Djokovic the last 2 times they've played.

That's 8 consecutive wins against the 3 players ranked above himself.

Yes but lets see a repeat in the majors - one at least!
