bauba30 1
Here is the list of Gers bosses. The challenge here is to put the best signing from that manager on the list. We might need the older Bears and some Historians to help Walter Smith (2007 - ) = Weir Paul Le Geun (2006 - 2007) = Clement Alex McLeish (2001 - 2006) = Boumsong Dick Advocaat (1998- 2001) = Numan Walter Smith (1991-1998) = Laudrup Graeme Souness (1986-1991) = Butcher Jock Wallace (1983-1986) = McCoist John Greig (1978-1983) = Jock Wallace (1972-1978) = Willie Waddel (1969-1972) = Davie White (1967-1969) = Scot Symon (1954-1967) = Bill Struth (1920-1954) = William Walton (1899-1920) =I've filled in some, put down who you think, even if it disagrees, and i will amend this list as we go along. Lets find the best of the best! Scot Symon would be Slim Jim Baxter

We'd also have lost out on Soti, Ron and Buffel - players who also got us to the last 16 of the CL
Davy 68
No, Boumsong was obviously a great bit of buisness, but he couldn't lace Fergies boots.

Bakbear 3,586
Am I alone in thinking that its a sad indictment of the modern game that McLeish's best signing is considered to be a guy who only played for the club for 6 months? I totally understand why this is considered as a great piece of business but surely in years to come we won't look back and say gee it was great that we got 8 million for that guy... Look at the other guys that are being talked about here, Baxter, Morton, Laudrup, Cooper, McCoist, Ferguson, Butcher, Gough, ... legends... and all being considered for their performance on the park... Boumsong? Great bit of business but hardly a club legend.. McLeish made lots of rubbish signings but surely Ferguson, Prso and Boyd are more deserving than Boumsong of being remembered as his best signing??And before you all start I know that we would not have been able to get some of the important players without that 8 million
