  1. Yeah, I have to agree. When thinking about who we could've got after the split I was much more wary of Killie at Rugby Park than I was Hearts at Tynecastle. As you say, Hearts (and even Hibs) are that team where we seem to switch on and get a result whereas we're prone to switching off and getting punished for it against the smaller teams. Plus, I think it helps that Hearts don't just sit in like those other teams do which then makes the game more open.
  2. Totally agree. He's been a breath of fresh air in there with his aggression in the tackle.
  3. Aye, the guy said it should change automatically a wee while ago but it's still showing Via Play and there's loads of the channels not showing anything.
  4. Anyone with a fire stick know what channel the game is on? I'm watching it on RTV but fancied changing it up. However, my live TV is still showing Via Play not Premier Sport and it's not on that.
  5. That's a fair point. Although, I don't think Tav is as bad defensively as either people make out or as he used to be. I felt like when Clement first came in he did put more emphasis on defenders defending and attackers attacking and it worked. Although maybe that was just to steady the ship. You do make a good point. But I just don't think Tav is the first person I'd get rid of. However, how do you strip the captaincy from someone and keep them in the first team or take them out the first team without completely demoralising them? At which point you're maybe best just getting rid.
  6. Won't next season mark ten years at Ibrox for Tav? I don't think he'll be going anywhere and will, understandably, stay for his testimonial year. I also don't think we need to be throwing the baby out with the bathwater with him, either. Instead of getting rid of someone who has dug us out the hole so many times couldn't we keep him but take the emphasis off him being so important to the way the team plays? For the best part of ten years our game plan has been to get the ball out to the full backs for them to cross it in or otherwise distribute the ball. Can't we just shift our focus onto the midfield and forwards doing the attacking instead? These are rhetorical questions. Edit: I think it's 25/26 is his testimonial year
  7. I was just thinking something similar earlier. I appreciate the team has been playing atrociously the last two games (and arguably before) but surely we, the fans, have to dust ourselves off and get back on track and show some belief - even if it's for nothing. I know people will say we need something from the team to believe in, and I agree, but I think we might need to do some of the heavy lifting ourselves and get fully behind the notion that we can still win this.
  8. I mean, the Dessers and Morelos ones I was willing to accept, even though I think it's a bullshit rule, based on the player who kicked being in control of the ball first and the "offending" player jumps in front of him but doesn't touch the ball before being kicked. However, here, Carter-Vickers isn't in control of the ball first. There's no difference between that scenario there and a through ball being played down the line and the defender goes to kick the ball away but kicks the attacking player first. A free kick is given for that.
  9. This is exactly my point. And showing folk around Ibrox or even taking them on the Founders Trail, while showing them what it all means, can't change their personality. Winning medals and being around winners does that
  10. Thank you for actually reading my post. Evidently there are some hard of thinking fuck wits on here who appear to get triggered when certain terminology gets written. 3 trophies in 12 years. How anyone can look at where we are now and say that 2012 was no more than a wee 4 year skip out of the Premier League and a jaunt back up the leagues? On your last para, just to be clear, I wasn't saying anything about "look at where we were". If anything, I'm saying look at where we were before 2012 and how special that mentality was but this team doesn't seem to have it.
  11. So you think showing folk around Ibrox and telling them the history of the club automatically turns them into battle hardened winners who can deal with the expectations and burden of playing for the club? It's that easy? You're a fucking idiot.
  12. So you think losing all but Lee McCulloch and Lee Wallace from the first team squad and replacing it with the likes of Emilson Cribari and Kevin Kyle, playing against the dross of Scottish football for 4 years and winning nothing took nothing away from the heart of what it means to be a successful, combatant, confident Rangers team with a back bone? You serious? The poster above actually makes my point completely. We've won the league, Scottish Cup and the League Cup once each since we came back up in 2016. How the fuck does that makes us winners? You don't build a winning mentality without winning things. We went on an amazing run to the EL final and still that team didn't believe in itself enough to beat the scum in the league that season. We put a great showing in the SC semi that season but again there was an underdog tone to that game. There was no expectation to win. I think this team does have heart but it's the heart of an underdog/chaser who can fight to get to the front of the pack then doesn't know what to do once it gets there. That's been lost.
  13. What, expectation that they'll beat the Euro teams? Or expectation that they'll get beat off the scum? Or both?
