Davie Weir

Afraid I have to bring this up, but the focus in our time of trouble appears to be on our manager, the team's lack of achievement and Joey frigging Barton. And Davie at some stage must be accountable too.

A great player, international experience, a stalwart of solid defences with us and Everton. a model professional and a great ambassador for the club.

But is he cutting it as a number two in management. Our poor defence, lack of confidence in midfield defending, and man management and confidence building,  should be areas he should be proficient in, but are we seeing the end result ?

Do we need a much tougher counterpoint to our Mr Nice Guy and forward thinking tactician Mr Warburton to cajole the players in to performing to requirements ?

We succeed or fail as a management team.not as individuals

Try telling that to Ally McCoist, no credit as an assistant, all the blame as a manager :005:  :000000082:

Joking aside I kind of agree with you that M W, D W and the players are collectively coming up short at the moment, so should share the criticism :pipe:

He does like the background doesn't he?    Maybe like Lee McCulloch he does all his leadership and guidance stuff well out view and on the training pitch.   Also - much like Lee - the evidence of it shining through into generating results seems a bit opaque.    Early days though.  Maybe the W&W partnership might yet deliver the sort of success we expect.    Seems a long way off at present though.

It'll be the kit man's fault by the time we're finished looking for scapegoats. Bottom line ,if we're playing the blame game Warburton is where the buck stops.

It will never be Sir Jimmy Bell's fault. Wash your mouth for saying that immediately!
