Well it's still pre season for the players but they have added 2 fantastic players to an already impressive squad so on the basis then yes they are more than capable to defend the trophy.

Any team with Ronaldo, Bale, Kroos and Rodriguez has a fantastic chance of winning the biggest trophies going.

Defensivly though they don't look great but then if you score more than the rest it's not a problem.

Yeah that style Barca used was very hard on the eyes at times.

With Madrid you have real wingers who run at their man and try to get past them.

Remember they didn't win La Liga last year and were seconds away from losing the CL final.

It does look like they'll be even better with Kroos and James added as well as Bale progressing, but it's been a while since Real Madrid were really dominant so i'm not sure yet.

They are very strong going forward but need to find the correct balance in the team between defence and attack. If they can do this, they will be very difficult to stop.
