  1. Its what papers do - big dramatic headline , followed a few weeks later with an apology usually buried somewhere in Pg5 . I dont usually like posting others peoples posts , because its not my place to do so , but with the lack of exposure to these false claims I think it important to let as many people know what actually happens between Rangers and certain sections of the media .
  2. I suppose it depends on whether Nathan Patterson can wait another year behind James Tavernier to gain more experience. Its a big ask tbh , given he's now in the Scotland Euro squad and I'm not sure what experience he'll get if he's not playing , so he'll not be wanting to stall his progress. Really is a hard one the more you think on it and I'm not sure what way SG will go . The one thing I hope he doesn't do is shoe horn someone into midfield just to give them a game instead of playing a natural midfielder.
  3. Most of the fans making these kind of remarks won't be Rangers fans . Interestingly along the same lines , I read this on FF earlier by the Midfield General ( take a bow ) - ' I contacted the Sunday Mail to complain about Keevins column where he stated that Paramedics were abused in George Square by Rangers fans because of the Colour of their uniform. This was based on a phone call to Radio Clyde by "Darren"who claimed to be a paramedic and a Partick Thistle supporter. He stated he was spat at and sworn at and sectarian language was directed at him also his assistant was so traumatised she could not make her shift the next day. Scottish Ambulance have confirmed that no one on duty that day had reported any such incidents, confirming my belief that this never happened. In Hugh Keevins column today he acknowledges this and confirms that it is "inaccurate" It's not quite the retraction and apology to the Club and fans I was after but at least they have acknowledged in print that this story is as they say "inaccurate" The point of all this is our Club and fans have suffered years of lies and abuse and we should challenge this any time we see, read or hear anything that is blatantly wrong. '
  4. Nah , that was Munchen . Near there , apparently.
  5. Just yanking your chain mate
  6. Thought all those wee towns along the coast were mostly bears . Well , except for Greenock of course.
  7. But on a positive note, they have got disco lights
  8. Cheers Bud , always thought Kenny Watson was a very underrated player for us .
  9. Aye , looking at it again , I think you're right . There also looks like eleven players in the picture where it looks like Peter McCloy is hiding someone . Tommy McLean or Bobby Russell maybe ?
  10. I lived abroad and got a radio for my birthday so we could tune in to the BBC World Service for the score before going to school the next day . Took me 10 years before i got to actually see the goals on TV. No YouTube back then , you know
  11. I'm not sure who they've beat in their two cup runs outside of us , hibs and Livingston , but you can't compare a few cup games in a season to an unbeaten league campaign , breaking all kinds of records , and a successful European run against some top quality teams . Its not even close , even allowing for the difference in size between the clubs.
  12. I can't imagine him being allowed dressed like that but it does look like DJ with his World Cup perm .
  13. Very conveniently. Its peculiar the amount of times nothing happens when it comes to c....c fans being involved .
  14. You'll have a long wait . They could probably hang effigies of Rangers supporters and Orangemen from the rafters of parkhead and nothing will be said or done about it . Oh , wait . . . .
  15. Seem to do well until that final pass .
  16. Well done St.Johnstone . Happy for Callum Davidson , heard he's Rangers daft .
  17. Sadly they are bulletproof , unbelievably by some from our own support , in the guise that they separate their political affiliations to their football allegiance . Unfortunately, as Humza illustrates , its a one way street , where his politics are based on what team he supports .
  18. Definitely hope so . The thing is , if we just do it once ( and I'm not advocating we just stick to one ) , but even once will make everyone else will think twice from now on in . We need to stop people thinking we're an easy target .
  19. I get that , but I remember the stern statement after players were attacked after the hibs Cup final which then faded away . There was also another occasion in which we started well and again it faded away .
  20. Much as I welcome Rangers taking legal proceedings we have a poor record of following through with threats . I hope this time is different and we see some firm action .
