An average English championship squad player is just what we need.

If they three don’t play, who are you bringing in? It’s all well and good saying it and I agree with the sentiment. But it’s not like there’s options on the bench standing out.

Don’t disagree. Seen a few warnings signs and I’ve been critical of team selections. However I do cut him some slack given no matter who he picks with the current injuries it’s not going to be great. Agree if he goes with same set up as today we will lose. He’s going to have to think outside the box as we can’t go with Silva and Cantwell at parkhead. We will get ran over the top of. If it means moving Sterling to midfield and starting McCausland or wright just to give you work rate that’s what I’d do. Play Diomande or Sterling right on top of Mcgregor. Actually think with the lack of wide options we have that 352 would be the way to go but I highly doubt he will change formation at this stage.

Really don’t envy Clement trying to pick a team to go win this.

Good again today. It’s so obvious watching him that his brain is so much quicker than most of our team. Was an incident in the first half he played it to Lundstram looking for the one two which would’ve had him driving at there defence. Instead Lundstram plays it back to the centre halves and then drops in between and slows everything down. Can’t wait to see him with a proper partner beside him next season.

He’s gonna be outstanding for us. Will be even better when he has better players around him. A real talent.

There’s not a single player at this club I’d honestly care about if they left. Even guys who’ve done well or ok I wouldn’t lose sleep over. We are approaching another summer where another rebuild is required. All the out of contract players have to go. The old faces in Tav and Goldsons time is up. The loan players can go back. There’s 4 or 5 English championship players I’d happily get rid off in Lawrence, Dowell, Davies, Matondo and even Cantwell. Then we have Beales shite in Lammers and Dessers who need sold. And our two main assets in Butland and Yilmaz who I’d like to keep are likely going to have to be sold to fund it all. I genuinely don’t see how it’s possible to turn this around in one summer. It’s utterly depressing.

He’s fucking rubbish. Been saying it all season. Too slow, can’t press, just wants to shoot from distance but never scores. If you could dream up the most bang average English championship player you’ll see Tom Lawrence.

Totally agree. Sterling starts every week for me now. Whether it’s in any of they 3 positions, he has to play.

Deserves credit for what he’s done to date. Given injuries he’s had to deal with and the shite squad he’s working with. However I haven’t agreed with a single team selection in the league since Hearts at home on 24th February. Since then he’s had to make two subs at half time away to Killie. Make one at half time at home to Motherwell. He’s had to take Scott Wright off on 60 against Hibs and at half time against celtic. And then onto today where he’s had to make a double sub at 54 minutes. That tells me he’s picking the wrong team every week and having to try rectify it. It’s a worrying trend. He’s not working with a good squad by any means but most people are saying the same thing before games when the teams come out.

I can’t get angry anymore that’s my point. He is what he is. I’m more angry at us not signing someone in January so he didn’t need to start every fucking game.

Said it after last week. That was his last straw for me. He’s outbid contract and not worth the money he will want.

Don’t know why people are still getting angry at him. Hes not good enough and we all know this. This is on the board for signing Silva as a the striker we needed in January. He’s not the answer either.

It’s not all about mentality. 80% of our squad isn’t good enough ability wise either. It’s a mix of both.

Is anyone worried that our manager seems to pick the wrong team nearly every week? And then has to make subs at half time or just after most games?

Tried to give it a few hours before giving my thoughts. Wild game from the first seconds. Part of me is still angry at how bad that first half was. Part of me is happy with the character to come back twice and get a point. Don’t want to go through every player as I’d be here all night given some of the performances first half. But I want to mention Tom Lawrence. I’ve never ever understood the love in our fans have with him. When he arrived he had a couple decent games and then missed the full season and all we heard was he’d be like a new signing. To say he’s bang average would be me giving him a compliment. He can’t press, he’s too slow, he gives the ball away constantly and his decision making is shambolic. He should be nowhere near starting for us in these next 7 games. One of a number we need to move on in the summer.

Genuinely find it staggering there’s people in our support that even consider starting him in games. Dessers isn’t the answer but at least he is durable, Roofe can come on last 15-20 if needed. And do you know what makes the Roofe argument worse, he’s been fucking shite whenever he’s played for a long time. Wouldn’t rule out him nicking a couple of goals between now and May but get him binned in the summer.

Good defensively and in midfield. Lacking quality up front that makes the difference at this level. Players gave everything against a real good side. Said after the first corner we had we were far too exposed to the counter attack with the pace they had. Never understood it at all.
