  1. I’m sure he could but he’ll want to give management his full attention especially in a job like this one. id like him to register just in case but I still don’t think he would.
  2. As the man himself said, win games. I expect us to have a much tougher team physically and mentally and I expect us to be winning our home games. Whether that takes us close to the summit or not I think that’s what we can expect in the first season.
  3. The irony of his statement is that he’s being racist, fascist and discriminatory. What a bellend. This coming fro the guy who beat on his wife. Hypocritical moron. Go fanny around with a fire extinguisher you fucking no mark.
  4. Did we know it was out with our means though. Did we perhaps think that with Gerrard as manager that his former teammates/friends would take a hefty pay cut to be here? Does Gerrard think he’s got those kind of funds available on wages and fees? Lots of questions but we’ll never get any answer other than when we actually sign players (even then we can only speculate what the fee was and the wages are)
  5. The worry for me is that it was Robertson doing the negotiation with fenerbahce and not Allen. Robertson is a muppet and should be nowhere near the negotiation. Tell Allen what the budget is and let him do the talking.
  6. OP is captain birdseye with this attempt
  7. Always remember the home match against dundee Utd (ain’t karma a bitch) with him and Scott Wilson at centre back and it was horrendous, lost 2-0 and konterman was at fault for both. Let Steven Thompson ahead of him for a header then did some crazy karate kid type clearance attempt, missed and they scored the second (also remember that game well for fabrice Fernandez crashing one off the bar)
  8. Always remember how excited I was about signing kanchelskis but it never really worked out that well. Also gui’varch and salenko. In the last few years definitely Alves. Mols never really meant that much to me when he signed but was out of this world. Going further back Rod Wallace.
  9. But look how it ended for McCulloch. People ended up resenting him because he just couldn’t cut it anymore and started playing in centre back (McCoists fault for still playing him). Wallace definitely regressed as a result of sticking with us and although he’s not up to it anymore (in my eyes) it’s a shame that it’s going to end on a sour note for him too. These guys didn’t volunteer as they still got paid well but at the same time they could have refused to TUPE and get a move elsewhere. Mcculloch was older and not likely to be in the Scotland squad bu Wallace could have been. Whittaker, Naismith, mcGregor and Lafferty were all in their nations national squad at the time IIRC therefore it’s perhaps easier to understand but at the same time still unforgivable. The press conference really is what sets Whittaker and Naismith apart from McGregor, Lafferty and Davis but it doesn’t mean we welcome them with open arms. He’ll need to earn our trust and respect and those are hard to earn and easy to piss away as they all did in 2012.
  10. He’s very excited to be back, once he learned we were interested it was a, wait for it, no-brainer. He made no mention of the circumstances when leaving nor was asked about it since it’s an RTV interview. The one thing he said that stuck out was that he wants to help out the club I a]no any way he can. For me that implies he wants to make amends without actually saying it. As I said he could have stayed with Hull, where he just won player of the year, and no doubt be paid more than being here or gone to Leeds and have the same sort of money but he chose to come home. He’ll have to work hard to win anyone over but that bodes well for us and I can see it being one of those difficult decisions to make that is done for the greater good.
  11. He had a good thing going for himself at Hull, he could have gone to Leeds and yet he has chosen to come back here even though he knows it won’t be universally accepted never mind endorsed. This shows he has one thing in abundance......character. We need leaders and winners on and off the park and whether you agree with what he chose back in 2012 and whether you forgive him or not he’ll add to the squad both in ability and character. He knows he’ll have to perform well to win anyone over and he obviously wants to redeem himself so let him and if he succeeds then we all win, if he doesn’t then it’s just like any other failed signing with the exception he has the history of 2012.
  12. I think there is an element of them being worried we are getting things in place and given they have seven and not nine titles in a row they know there’s a chance of their arses collapsing. However, this particular barrage is a well timed deflection tactic as many have already said. It sickens me that rather than be honest human beings (the irony) and putting their hands up and putting the offenders to shame they want to try and sweep it under the rug and then use their influence in the country to try and slur our club when we did what was right. He was sacked and police reported.
  13. If we win the league they’ll probably try to get points deducted for something
  14. We need to adopt a siege mentality to win the league again. Being all pally with some cunt that tried to do one of us rather than sticking the nut on him during the game is exactly why we are fucked when we take on the scum before the first whistle goes. The sooner the posers are out of the club the better. If you want to be a real Ranger, a winner then welcome to the club if not the thanks but no thanks, there’s the door.
  15. I’ll reiterate so why post it to the whole fucking world if it’s not anyone else’s business? The whole issue with social media is people want to broadcast every fucking thing they do so they have to accept that at times they are going to take abuse from certain things and it’s up to them to understand the right time to share and the right time to keep it to yourself. if they want to be mates with a wee prick like Allan then that’s their decision and while I don’t agree with it especially after Sunday I can’t change it but they should have enough sense to know that this season has been a disaster and the last thing we want to see is players cavorting with someone that nearly broke our players leg a day before. I didn’t say I own them by the way so stop putting words in my mouth, it just takes a bit of decency and common sense on the players’ part to keep it to themselves.
  16. Spot on. Gerrard is in that mould and I have no doubt that he’ll be looking for players with the same characteristics and wanting to move on anyone that isn’t of that nature....Bye Josh
  17. Hence why they shouldn’t broadcast it to the fans when Allan did what he did. The players are so far out of touch with the fans I feel like Dave King is more aligned than them.
  18. I think his point is the signing was initiated by Allen and the scouting team (if rumours are believed to be true the it started in January window at which point Gerrard had nothing to do with us). Gerrard said in the first press conference that it’s about working together with Allen and Scoulding on potential signings. That means sometimes it’s Scoulding’s suggestion, sometimes it’s Gerrards and others Allen. Either way they discuss it and make a decision. So Arfield was already in the pipeline and Gerrard was announced before anything was signed therefore he was asked if he was ok with it. So scouting teams identified signing given the seal of approval by Gerrard
  19. That’s exactly what I have done but people read a headline and just go with it. One day we are playing like Klopp’s sides the next we are building from the back (two contradictory statements by the way) where both came from the Q&A session minutes apart.
