To put youngsters into a toxic situation is most likely going to damage their prospects. It’s far better to put them into a functioning team. However, they are functioning as a team so if the full youth squad were to play then it might be different but the expectation levels would need to be lowered massively. If you’re going to ban manager and players from talking to the press after the game surely a board statement is required. Yeah, there’s no doubting his effort and sometimes that’s what you need but in the final third he looked a little lost, the ball to Cummings over windass sticks in my mind. In fairness though apart from Murphy I think we look really dodgy when we break. You watch teams do it against us and you’re certain they’re going to score but when we have a break you keep thinking how are we going to fuck it up (look at Cummings chance in the second half for 3-1 as an example)

it was a better performance from him but still not as good as I had expected which is largely down to being incorrectly utilised by clueless murty.
