  1. Spotted that too.....first UEFA call us Glasgow and now Willie Vass has called us Glasgow Warriors
  2. Goldson and Katic formed a really good partnership and we should have brought in cover rather than giving assurances we’d play someone that we have no idea whether he’d be good enough. From what I’ve seen so far I think karanka, was on to something and I’d put goldson and Katic together for all our games unless injured or suspended.
  3. Far too sensible a post Look at the praise the players got for Villarreal, st Johnstone, Ayr then one truly awful performance by the squad as a whole and they are shiitebags and jokes of footballers. Its actually embarrassing people can’t temper their reactions just a bit. Comparing to last season is ridiculous, the improvements are there for all to see but for whatever reason away from home we’ve not got into the swing of things and the squad definitely seemed off today. Possibly thoughts of getting injured on that disgrace of a pitch or possibly thinking ahead to the Vienna game. The manager has to shoulder some of the blame too as the chopping and changing of formation and lineup is definitely taking its toll.
  4. Still a lot to be done as far as attitude is concerned. We know our players have the ability to play better and while we can have off days individually for the whole squad to have 3s and 4s out of 10 at the same time it’s something down to their attitude. We’ll no doubt turn up and win against rapid on Thursday now....but to win the league we have to start winning consistently home and away.
  5. Sorry but the linesman is as good as in line with Morelos perhaps not the ball however Candeias and the ball is ahead of him therefore if its ahead of him its ahead of Morelos. Terrible decision once again that isn't even remotely a close call.
  6. So the Kilmarnock tap in and Maribor tap in never went in? Saying this is his only miss is off the mark but so too is saying he misses all the time. Edit: I know where you are coming from regarding the comments about him needing to work on it, that’s true. He’s 22 so he has plenty of time to work on weak areas of his game. Positioning, composure in front of goal and composure in heated moments are all areas he needs to focus on and I have no doubt that the coaching team and doing just that. You don’t just hand him a 30k a week del and say job done, it’s an investment and if we get it right we have a fantastic player to benefit us either on the park or financially if sold. The one isn’t I will say is he deserves a lot of credit for coming back for more when he does miss. He doesn’t shy away and hide and that is commendable and it means when he does get better he’ll be scoring far more than he misses.
  7. 10 seconds spent searching for open goal misses and you find something like: ronaldo, neymar, Forlan, Torres etc. Have missed sitters, doesn’t mean they are shit so it’s laughable people get so fucking hung up on moments like this.
  8. It was particularly bad on Sunday. No composure, slack passes and poor touches so it really doesn’t surprise me that we bypassed them.
  9. Pay him more to push his value up,in January. Morelos we’ve said don’t bother bidding.....not really heard the same about Tav. He’s got good points and bad and if we can get an extra few million added on in January by offering a new deal now......fair dos.
  10. “I fucking hate those cunts, right, I’m not even trying to be amusing with that. I cannot stand them, I hate everything about them from their fucking mechano stadium, to the almost stultifying uniform ugliness of their crowd, to their shitey kit to their fucking media lapdogs, everything about them. They are the evil empire, horrible horrible cunts and I admit I am just desperate for Rangers to give them the well deserved black eye that they fucking deserve” quote of the day for me
  11. When Coulibaly is back and we have jack, Coulibaly and Arfield I think we have a good balance. It was a good trio before and I think with Jack sitting deep as a deep lying playmaker, Coulibaly as the “destroyer” and Arfield further forward linking up with the wingers and forward gives us the right blend. i think ejaria is best in European games as he just doesn’t have the urgency for the domestic games yet, if he can work on then great. I would have liked a number 10 of real quality but all in good time. We’ve got the foundation of a solid team and we can add quality when he have the funds topped up again. Hoping that Grezda has the creativity and quality we need but don’t want to put too much pressure on the guy.
  12. I actually feel Lafferty is quite good with the ball on the deck with his back to goal.....but so too is Morelos. I don’t think a 2 striker formation is dead in the water but it certainly looks a bit awkward at the moment.
  13. They are always long but on the back of a loss longer, on the back of losing to that fucking mob every second seems like an hour.
  14. I guess we’ll never know and I’m not saying he was right to elect to sit deep whether it was tactical or based on fitness it didn’t work over the 90. The pancakes remark is laughable, you do know athletes have a huge intake of calories since they burn off so much, it’s not all going to come in the form of apples and oranges. It’s no like he had a six pack of beer and a kebab The manager also made mistakes keeping ejaria on when he was fucked so perhaps the fitness part wasn’t behind his tactics because if he was concerned about it so much he’d have brought ejaria off at half time when he was done. I think there was an element of sounding them out and seeing what they had to offer before upping our game which isn’t the right thing to do. I hope he has learnt his lesson to not sit in against teams domestically. We are Rangers and should go for the kill at all times domestically as I now think we are better than the 10 and as close as we’ve been to the scum in a long time. If that means we need to rotate more then rotate more. He has made a few mistakes domestically but has done a great job in Europe so hopefully he’ll start to get things sorted on the training ground over the next few weeks and then put 5 past Dundee.
  15. Did you just finish watching the game? This is all over the place in various threads. We all know pressing them and getting i their faces is the way to rattle them and beat them. The actual debate is whether we would have been able to have the fitness levels required yesterday to actually play that way especially with 9 of the 11 from the Ufa game starting. I’m not worried or panicking for the rest of the season or the next time we play them unless we end up with 9 men < 72 hours before that match as well. We’ll press them and we’ll beat them whether it’s at Ibrox or Hampden.
  16. It was always going to have an effect unless we had real quality in depth which we don’t yet. Getting the money from the group stage qualification is vitally important and it needs to be reinvested in the squad in January, bed in the new players and add to that over next summer. I think the plan was always to push them this year and win it next year.
  17. Maybe we won’t but I’m not going to give up on things this early on. If we drop points to Dundee, st Johnstone or Livingston the at this early stage i’d say it looks very unlikely. Beat them then hearts and the spoon burners and people will start to believe it again such is the yo-yo of optimism to pessimism.
  18. What is that based on? I called out that you said Gerrard got his team selection wrong then said it had nothing to do with team selection. i think Gerrard got it wrong today, based on the demands of Thursday night he had a few choices: play the preferred 11 and play high pressing, high tempo and run the risk of them being exhausted after 25 mins play the preferred 11 but acknowledge they’re tired and sit deep play a weakened/rotated 11 and play high pressing, high tempo and run the risk of the, not being good enough to do so play a weakened/rotated 11 and acknowledge they aren’t as good and sit deep Whatever he did above some would not be happy but the odds were against us today but 12 games unbeaten tends to make you get ahead of yourself and believe we could do it despite the context. So I’m not happy but I can see why the gaffer did what he did, it wasn’t right so he needs to learn.
  19. Mate i’ve had to argue the right to criticise players, most recently Murphy, where I said if we aren’t allowed to criticise then eveyone is perfect and we never improve. Theres a right way to criticise a players performance or a passage of play and there’s just spitting the dummy out to vent some anger at the result. We’re all feeling the pain of it but I can’t stand for players who gave everything on Thursday and were clearly knackered but didn’t shite out of the game feigning injury or anything getting called shitebags.
  20. How about watching the game on Thursday back before calling him that. Put in a helluva shift and score the goal that essentially got us through but aye a mistake that gave them a goal and a 1-0 defeat makes him a complete and utter shitebag. he made a mistake whilst he was blowing out of his arse (Gerrard should have had him off before then anyway) Mistakes need to be addressed by the manager and coaching team but so soon after the performance on Thursday to say that is just bang out of order.
  21. Saying he was at fault for the goal is fine what I was meaning was people start writing him off in general because of this mistake, much like some writing the whole season over or Gerrard as a shit manager because of this game. Its dangerous to make rash generalisations against a player, team or manager looking at a single game in isolation. I have no problem with people saying he should have tracked his man, been more aware etc. but it’s not fair to say he’s shit or however some are putting their point across.
  22. That was ridiculous, sums that lot up. 1-0 up and still cheat.
