  1. Had to double check there, defo Alfie
  2. Happened a few times where he's passed it either to a player who's got a man on him, or played it short to the backside of someone. The first goal is shocking from Tav and Morelos, but moreso Tav as he should have seen Scales closing Mlrelos down.
  3. Heard a stat on the radio earlier, so not too sure how accurate it is, but apparently we've conceded first in something like 25 or 26 out of 51 games we've played this season (including Champions League), which is just not good enough. Straight away we're making it harder than it needs to be.
  4. Today showed again that we are serial bottlers. Domestically we don't turn up for the pressure games more often than not. Taigs drop points yesterday, giving us a chance to close the gap a little and make it a bit more respectable for us, and we bottle it again. The core of this team needs gutting. The mentality is too weak and too soft.
  5. Not the player he was, but still gets himself into positions where he can do some damage. We just don't have anyone else who takes jp the positions he does.
  6. Again highlights the inconsistencies with decisions being made. Clearly cheating to gain an advantage for his team. Should be a booking.
  7. As @SeparateEntityMyArsehas said, the inconsistencies in the receiver of cards being given by referees is a huge issue and we appear to have to commit less fouls in order to be booked than the opposition do.
  8. Imagine if we played them a maximum of four times a season including potential cup games though. The atmosphere in those games would (should) be off the scale.
  9. Spot on, and it's one of the reasons we don't grow the profile of Scottish football. Can't while we are being held ransom by Sky. If each club were able to sell their own digital season tickets, or at least on a game by game basis i'm sure they would make a decent amount.
  10. I just don't understand why anyone would be ok with and be happy with the league format in its current flawed state. Nobody should have an extra home or away game on their fixture list. It unfairly hampers some teams and gives an advantage to others. Regardless of who gets the extra home fixture, it does make the league season uneven and gives an advantage. Same with the relegation part of the league. Larger league would be my answer, play each team home and away and that's it. I know the argument will be about any Sky tv deal being dependent on Old Firm games, but the product is going stale.
  11. If we're debating crap carthorse SPFL strikers, i'm torn between Van Veen and Nouble 🤔
  12. It's about levels and where we want to compete. His line about Mason Mount is a bit silly on Beale's part as we all know that we're never going to get a player of his level and calibre at the peak of his career. What we should be able to attract (i would think), would be a level of player below the very elite, and absolutely a finished article (but not in the 'finished' category like Ramsay). I get his point about taking young players with potential and helping them realise it (like Raskin and Tillman), and taking the odd player who has reached a very good level but not consistently (Cantwell). But, we absolutely can't and shouldn't fill our team with these kinds of players exclusively. It's too much of a risk for me hoping that all these players are suddenly going to click and push on. I would imagine there are players in Austria, Italy, Portugal etc where they are of the required standard and finished article to push us on to the next level domestically and won't cost a fortune and will have a decent resale value as not every player will be the next Bassey in terms of buy low, sell high.
  13. Poch or Podge? 🤔 Tough choice for them there.
  14. They need a helluva clearout. I like Eriksen. I think he's a little bit of culture and a bit of class that they don't have an awful lot of in that team. Too many of them are done though.
  15. If he is on 60k a week, it's about 40k more than he's worth. He's pretty awful.
  16. Don't you just love the narrative that we won 55 (with am unbeaten league season), but were extremely lucky and only won it because of covid, even though it was a full league programme, and that they bravely won it the season before that when covid actually did shut the season down early? You know, the one they say is more legitimate than ours? I do wish some of our fans didn't buy into the taig narrative. The biggest disappointment about that season is that we should have won the treble.
  17. Think next season is a big one for him, and he would benefit from a proper full season as a first choice centre half. Top flight club would be good, lets us see him properly tested week in and out.
  18. Easily good enough to play at that level as well.
  19. I think this is why we need better options centrally in defence and central midfield. What i believe should happen is if Tav bombs forward, whoever is on the right side in central defence moves across and the sitting midfielder then drops deeper so we still have cover, same if Borna pushes forward. That doesn't seem to happen and creates massive spaces in behind Tav and Borna. We need more game intelligence i think all over the park.
  20. It's a bit voyeuristic and comes across as quite cruel in places. Gazza and Eubank both have mental health issues and the show, instead of highlighting what they are going through and showing their progress in a positive light, seems to be almost mocking them in a way, which is wrong. To be fair though, Gazza is coming across as being in a good place.
