  1. It was a couple of really good saves. I like the guy and with the new defence in front of him, he should concede even less. As a negative though, I always wanted him to come out more to deal with cross balls/corners. A good solid keeper though IMO.
  2. It's a great charity and I'm sure most of the people in here know of someone who was helped by them. They gent also gets my respect for his outstanding efforts. That's a huge amount of money he's raised for them. From a Rangers perspective, we were made to look bad by the news. It made the printed media and social media/forums, which painted us in a bad light. For any supporter to contribute a fiver, a tenner, or whatever they can afford, will go a long way in the memories left by it in the gent and his family, the football media and beyond. It won't be wasted as it's such a worthwhile charity and to redeem our good name with some, it could be one of the best fivers or tenners we've spent.
  3. Nearly two grand in donations for the gent at this point. Well done to all who contributed WATP
  4. Cheers LLoyd. Lee tells it like it is...speaks really well
  5. Maybe that's what did happen. I don't doubt the guy for a second, just some of the add ons that we always seem to get in the press.
  6. Something ain't right here. It look as though the media may have embellished this to an extent (or the poster is posting shit). This tends to happen 'occasionally' when it's to do with The Rangers. The guys should have left the man in peace anyway. A great day by all accounts and you just know that our media will be rubbing their manky paws together at how they can do the most damage with this. According to a guy on FF...see quotes Re: We need to make this right (Sheffield and district help) A total non story !! Witnessed this with my 2 sons and was bit of banter with someone taking his wig and returning it. Guys apologised and made a donation to the cancer charity for actions. Stealing and abuse was not something that happened a total fabrication by tabloid journalists !! Did you witness this ? If not wind your neck in the guys apologised for a bit of banter and made a contribution to him and the charity. Certainly not scum as you have alluded to. With fellow fans like you who needs enemies !! We were standing outside bar that it happened together with a number of police around us and it was a bit of banter not one of the police moved and the guy returned his wig apologised and made a donation from his wallet. Now if you want to call your fellow fans scum for something you know nothing about and rely on tabloid journalists then then carry on. I don't know these guys but witnessed it a few feet in front of me and it was some misplaced banter that has being totally blown out of proportion and guys like you only making the matter worse than it really was. Now the guy was robbed by Rangers fans !!! FFS The guy took his wig off him walking by the bar, which was not right but was done in childish fun. The wig was returned seconds later with an apology and a donation to his charity. This was witnessed by the police standing next to me and the guy walked away without an issue. No police involvement and certainly was not robbed as your now alluding to. Now I would suggest that if your not aware of what went on, as i am, I would suggest not tarnishing the fans name in the way you are.
  7. That's a bummer. Hope you get it sorted in the end somehow. Maybe someone with a similar TV will be along to help you out.
  8. My TV was really good for most of the game. Good quality pic...used on the laptop through an HDMI lead to the TV. Played up a little in the second half for a few seconds but apart from that, it was great. As was the score. I ain't no computer genius (maybe for everything else), but I remember last week in trying to get the Marseille game, because of the new HD format, there was a page on the website telling you how to deal with flash as that causes a problem. Straight from a TV, I don't know how you would handle it, but on my Google Chrome (laptop), I clicked on the three dots on the top right hand side of my screen - selected settings - advanced - go to privacy and security - select content settings - flash - and block (yes block) rangers.co.uk. If you can do similar on your TV, hopefully that should do it. As I said, no expert, just trying to give you a heads up as flash could be your problem. Good luck in getting it sorted.
  9. Well played Rangers and well played the support too from a proud bluenose. The never shut up for a second Outstanding support and I bet the SW fans were impressed by our support for our team as well.
  10. A tie between Jack, Dorrans and Alves which is satisfying. Got to be a better season than last.
  11. It's not always been a lack of chances created. A lot of it has been really poor finishing. Any game with Waghorn up front puts us under pressure as his finishing is abysmal. I don't like slagging off any player but he's like a man down. The best finisher is Kenny Miller from what we know at this stage and he was spending too much time backtracking to cover for inferior players behind him. Maybe he can now get the chance to play in the position he should be playing in and take some of the opportunities when he's playing. With the introduction of the many new signings, I have a bit more confidence in the team now, compared to only a few weeks ago. We had a defence full of holes, a lightweight midfield and an ineffective forward line (I kept that clean). Now we have a more solid and strong looking defence, same in midfield and they're going to provide more chances for the forwards. I hope we can get Walker soon as I think he's a big part of the jigsaw, He'll be a huge asset to the team IMO. Got to add that I think Dorrans will excel in midfield and will help to create lots of chances. I'm sure he'll chip in with a few goals over the season too. I'm so pleased we got him. Another home grown player that has delighted me is Jack. I hold my hands up as I knew he was a decent player, I just didn't realise how good a player he is. Watching him closely, he's very assured, looks so comfortable in his role and he looks to have the strong mentality that you need to play for Rangers. We've had many good players in the past that simply melted under the pressure of playing for us and didn't achieve their potential. I think he's going to be here for many years and I also think he's a future captain.
  12. That was a clear, well written article by 'The Dude'. Credit where credit's due. That was a good read. I would never entertain writing for the Record, but I fully understand his reasons behind it and I'm in no position to decry him for doing so. If 'The Dude' can get to publish his articles from a Rangers standpoint without them being chopped so much that it dilutes the content, then one of his reasons for doing just that is fully justified. It should be of benefit to us as we need all the 'Rangers men' we can get in publications, as there are certainly more than a few tarriers out there. I'm not sure from the OP as to whether this is the original, intact version from 'The Dude's' website, or actually from the Record. I hope it's the latter. As for obllvion, if we're not already there, we're standing right on the very edge and there's only one major contributor to that. if the manky mob weren't as rabid as they unquestionably are we wouldn't be in this sorry state. If they curtailed there hatred for us, then I'm sure the wee puppy dog clubs would ease of a bit too.
  13. We were knocking on the door back then with some outstanding players. It's still a sore one to this day as to how it all panned out. Changed days, but it will all come good again eventually.
  14. As per post above, as yet, I still haven't received a reply from Simon Fox the CEO. It's exactly what I thought would happen. He'll still be getting it sent to him on a daily basis until one of us blinks, or I get it bounced back to me having been blocked. Sent to the scumbag that is Johnathan Russell as well which will be another waste of time no doubt. With decent media men you shouldn't need to do this of course, but they simply do not exist for us Rangers fans. In fact, their biased, agenda driven and embellished garbage they print is more blatant today than it's ever been. All this crap drains me, but we need to hold these clowns to account. Do you remember when we used to talk about the football? Happy days!
  15. Aye, a face like a melted welly. He's like a cross between The Elephant Man and Tom Cruise... He's about the same height as Tom Cruise.
  16. http://www.ceoemail.com/s.php?id=ceo-75123 That's the CEO of Johnathan Russell. I contacted him yesterday (Tuesday) which was clean and to the point as you state. I await his reply. I probably won't get one, but after giving him a couple of days to respond, I'll follow it up with a respectful email stating that he may have missed my first one, etc. Thereafter, he'll get another reminder on a daily basis, (clean and to the point again) until I do get at least some form of reply. Just a wee reminder of the guy and his cronies for those who missed the original link from eskbankloyal. What a team eh? I'm tired of all of this crap and wish we could get back to the football, but it's not going to happen until the club (and whoever) tackles these clowns head on. It's been getting worse over the last few years and there doesn't seem to be an end to it. https://www.rangersobserver.com/news/2017/7/17/senior-daily-record-executive-targets-rangers-fan-over-complaint
  17. He clearly should have used his own personal email addy, but this is a different tact from the usual crap they spew out in the media. This is definitely trying to get the guy in trouble with his workplace which is even more underhand than they normally are. Hopefully the guy will be able to complain to the relevant body regarding this. See these clowns that have a personal dig at our club/support and more often than not making up stuff or embellishing events, they should be embarrassed publicly on social media by anyone who has the ability to unearth a skeleton or two from their cupboard. Some people on this forum will be skilled enough to find it. Not major family stuff that impacts others, just an incident/event that would shame them personally. It could be done for the many Rangers haters out there and you know the usual culprits.
  18. Griffiths. He bit his head off like he was eating a jellybaby. Looking forward to seeing the big man playing for us. A bit of steel in the defence was definitely missing.
  19. It also shows you what a nasty, vile, sub-human piece of garbage the racist is. You can't run onto the pitch I have to agree, but I still feel so sorry for the Linfield guy if he's been going to watch them week in and week out for 30 years.
  20. Nice one. Get it blown up (huge), framed and give it pride of place in the living room so EVERYONE gets to see it. Get slightly smaller ones for the hall, kitchen, bathroom and each bedroom. One for the shed as well if you have one. Don't forget the t-shirts too.
  21. Cheers mate, good report again. Two hat-tricks and nearly three. Can't be bad. Well done lads
