  1. Great question OP. I'll go along with The Godfather on this. What would be nice though...the score is 0-0 and we're into the last minute of injury time. Tav sends a cross in for Waggy and it gets cleared by the manky mob defence, but only as far as their 18 yard line. Barton hammers the ball on the volley and it's a wayward shot. It's heading straight for the corner flag only to rattle of Broonaldos dome, knocking him out and the ball flying high into the net for the winner. The Rangers supporters at the game and everywhere else go mental...yaaaasssss! Either that, or a deflection of Millers left buttock for goal number 100 for him.
  2. Written off again? That'll do for me. We've been there quite a few times including the last game where we played them off the park. More of the same please lads! I'm sure it's a 'stick-on' BTTS as I don't have a lot of confidence in keeping a clean sheet, but I do feel that we'll score. If the defence tightens up and we can be a bit more clinical in front of goal putting way more of the chances we get, we can win this. It's another one of those hard to call games I think. Too many if's and but's.
  3. What a pathetic piece of shit he is. That's almost certainly got to have been ingrained in him as he was growing up by his parents/family. Davie Cooper, or Mr Magic as my late dad used to call him, was first and foremost a decent human being and one of the many players through the years who have graced the game of football in Scotland. We were fortunate to have him. Jimmy 'Jinky' Johnstone was an outstanding player for the dark side who did likewise, but I wouldn't dare blacken his name in such a cheap manner as this piece of garbage has tried with Davie. These guys were entertainers in the game we love and deserve some respect. As for The Ibrox Disaster, my two brothers narrowly escaped with their lives that day. We ALWAYS went down stairway 13 and it definitely was a bit scary at times and as my brothers were heading for 13, they saw that it was more congested than usual (even after a big game) and they strangely decided to head for the other stairway instead. It may have saved their lives. I was only around 10-11 years old and wasn't allowed to go to this game even though I kicked up a fuss about it as I was at all of the other home and away games during the season. If you know this guy...I was going to say destroy him, as it's still a bit raw for me and no doubt many other bears, but I'd just say to speak to him and put him right in a few things. Perhaps he'll learn (doubt it though).
  4. Oh dearie me! I read a few walloper posts and that was disheartening. I, like most supporters, love the guy. I love the way he handles himself as a Rangers manager and puts the media down at his pressers (which isn't hard to be honest) but I really can't get my head around this 60 minute substitution. Why? Surely the point of a sub is to determine whether it will benefit the team at a particular time and to do so every game, is to make subs just for the hell of it. You play crap...subs at 60 mins. The team is playing brilliantly, as good as it has in weeks...subs at 60 mins. I really don't get this. it makes no sense to me, although i do like a sub coming on with enough time to change a game. As for my general thoughts, MW and his team have been nothing short of brilliant in what they do and in the funds they have used to do so. MW, SDW and Frankie boy have impressed, so more has to be asked of the actual players.
  5. After tonight's game I'm not so sure. Having said that, I think we would have taken quite a few off the pub team Lincoln Red Imps and the rest, so here's hoping (as would Killie). We will need to score a few, as our defence will leak some too. It could end up a 4-3 game for us. I'd settle for that.
  6. You're bang on mate as both do serve each other. Both of them look a shadow of their former selves. Maybe both are due a break. Lee has played nearly every game over the last season or two if my memory serves me right, so he's earned a break. Maybe Hodson should play a few more games, although Lee is always first choice.
  7. I support the board, the team and the management. I'm the the guy who always finds a positive, even in a defeat. Not any more. This just isn't good enough. I'm tired of hearing that we'll learn from our mistakes and I'm also tired of seeing us make the same mistakes all over the park, especially in defence, which is laughable at times. Everybody sees this, yet it goes on and on. When was the last game we played well? When did you last enjoy a game? It breaks my heart to go into the negative crap that so many people spout out on a daily basis, but this is GARBAGE. We've come such a long way in the last 4-5 years...I get that and I'm thankful of it too. But, BASIC errors are there for all to see yet we still keep making them. I just don't get why we continue to make the same mistakes. All I know is we have absolutely no chance of winning this poor league playing like this. Last season, at the start, we played two-touch football. Control...pass and so on. It was wonderful, we loved it. It was a real treat. We ran over the top of teams playing this way, now we are as slow as a week in jail. Is this a management change or are we being lazy? The last quarter of last season saw us win the league and we 'switched off'. No longer did we play the way that won us the league and make the many supporters proud of our play as we had done before. I think they got lazy. Maybe not but it's my thought. We started to play with an extra touch and then it was yet another extra touch. By this time, the opposition had time to bake a couple of cakes and deal with what we had to offer. We see this all of the time now. We've carried this on in my opinion. I long for a game where we actually control and enjoy it. With regret, I say I live in hope. WATP
  8. Not playing him? This would get them creaming themselves before a ball was even kicked. He's not a guaranteed start, but I'd play him...just. He's shown he can now handle such a game, but he would need to have others around him that would ensure that the pace was quick. Windass and Forrester would be my selections to play alongside him.
  9. A bit of light-hearted humour there guys which is always good. Btw, as per title,..we all love The Rangers (just not so much tonight - get it sorted).
  10. Your hearts's in the right place mate and it would be nice to think that we could challenge for the title, but we haven't got a hope in hell of winning it. It breaks my heart to say it, but it's true. I won a right few quid last season, but I wouldn't even back us now, after yet another crap game, if I was offered 20/1. I'm the guy who would always look for the positive in the side, but enough is enough. We simply cannot defend (and the front guys keep missing chances too), so it ain't gonna happen at this stage, even against a really poor tarrier side.
  11. People always get carried away with statements like he's the worse I've seen etc. He's not the worse I've seen, but he was riding high in the hit parade tonight (until the next game obviously). Wee Barrie almost got halved in two by Smith (ungrateful bar steward) I think it was...not even a yellow. Unbelievable!!!! How can even the worst referee on the planet not give a yellow at least? Then he books Barton for an inoculous challenge. Too bad he missed Barton getting thrown to the ground in a wrestling move that Shirley Crabtree (Big Daddy) would have been proud of and also missed Joe Garner getting his shirt seriously pulled in the same incident and I must admit, a Killie pen with the Hill handball. He was as useful as a chocolate fireguard. Totally useless. Just to add...when that clown clobbered Barton and rightly got sent off (surprised it wasn't just a warning from this ref) he should have been escorted off the park by a copper and lobbed into the back of a van for assault. That was truly shocking.
  12. Yet again more dehumanising from that waste of a good ride. He's wrong. I think that was the Killie fans - which makes it all the more ridiculous when they can get away with singing it. Too bad he's missed every manky mob away game and their ira-oke. Strange that. He's another irrelevant piece of shit that hardly makes a mark on our lengthy anti-Rangers list.
  13. That goal was worthy of winning any match, at any level. Unfortunately it just got us on terms with Killie and we totally failed to take the initiative, dropping yet another 2 points. 30 minutes (25 +5 injury time) against 10 men and they're the favourites to go down this season. This is far from good enough.
  14. Seriously? You're having a laugh mate. EVERY time the opposition (and we're supposedly playing the weaker ones at the moment) get anywhere near our defence we look amateurish and that's being kind. I'm not one of the guys who moan and groan on a regular basis, I always support my team and staff. Now, you simply cannot support that defence. It's a fecking joke and even at this stage (unless a miracle signing appears) WE HAVE GOT ABSOLUTELY NO FECKING CHANCE OF WINNING THIS LEAGUE. When did we last play a good game? When were we last good to watch?
  15. Thanks mate...appreciated. I never got that far. I expected a lot more than that from them and it should have been on a more prominent page too...feckers!
  16. Can someone please dig out a copy of the Daily Rhebel from a bin and put the so-called apology up here please? I'm certainly not buying it to read it. Ruling. https://www.ipso.co.uk/rulings-and-resolution-statements/ruling/?id=03188-16
  17. Just heard that too mate. I was going to start a thread in the next day or two asking if anyone had heard anything regarding this and that bitch Jane Hamilton.Great stuff. Now lets see what the Daily Rhebel say in their apology. It better be in a prominent page and a sizeable, detailed apology too. She's toast! Well done to all concerned. IPSO home page.. https://www.ipso.co.uk/ IPSO latest (nothing there yet) https://www.ipso.co.uk/rulings-and-resolution-statements/
  18. I was looking forward to seeing this young lad playing since he signed and I haven't been disappointed. He's impressed in the games hes played with his attitude and ability and he'll serve us well through this season and beyond. At the moment, he's got to be a definite starter. I thoroughly enjoyed watching him enjoy his game and perform last night. As some have said, it was only against Peterhead, but no matter who the opposition has been his insight is wonderful. That's a talent regardless of who we're playing. The lad can pick and play a pass all right.
  19. I like Miller and thank him for his contribution last season but it's a no-brainer for me. Dodoo must start if Waggy isn't fit and maybe Miller coming on as a sub if need be later in the game where he could be more effective. It's great having better quality guys ready to step in when required and competing for a first team place.
  20. They really are a strange (in)breed. As alluded to earlier in this thread, maybe the club name brought back tender memories of him in his time as an alter boy and what his priest Peter gave him. Declan's previous game was probably when he attended (ran on the park) at the Scottish Cup Final with his mates Declan, Declan and Declan. I couldn't attend a match between the scum and any top Champions League team if THEY paid ME to go in and without doubt that would be the same for any true bear. They're a fecked up lot. At the end of the day... IT'S ALL ABOUT THE RANGERS!
  21. You're all talking rubbish. I have it on good authority that Sammy the tranny is coming back and he has two functions. One, to distract Brenda and two, to get us 50 penalties a season. Makes sense. You heard it here first.
  22. In case you missed it (from The Rangers site) http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/charleston-battery-1-2-rangers/ It was good seeing the team playing again albeit only a friendly. I was impressed with Windass. He looked confident, active and passed the ball well and was unlucky not to score in the first half. I was impressed with him in the second too and scored a good goal. Well taken goal from Forrester as well. I wasn't too impressed with Onyewu, especially with their goal from a ridiculous angle. Gilks should have done better for it as well. Overall it was a good workout and even though CB are mid-way through their season, we looked better as the game went on. MOH had some good runs and one in particular was excellent, only for someone missing to tap the ball in. He'll be an asset for us this season I'm sure. I should also add that there was a guy wearing a kilt who was on the pitch after the game finished. When you read Jane Hamiltons report of it in the Daily Rebel, pay no attention to her saying that their were hundreds of Rangers supporters on the pitch causing mayhem and using their kids as shields. It didn't happen (just in her deranged mind).
  23. It's always sad to hear. Condolences to John's family and friends and to you too GB. I'm sure you and all at Erskine looked after him well treating him with love and respect.
  24. Very impressive. As stated, the scouting system was non-existent and now it's being totally transformed. We have numbers now, but we also have quality within. I just love what's happening at our club now, it's a complete transformation in such a short time, over so many sectors. I think the board deserve great credit for the appointments they've made and for the work that goes on behind the scenes. We've been battered from pillar to post in the last few years, the proverbial roller-coaster ride if you like and now it feels as though we've got our club back. All six statements have been welcome and I eagerly await to hear a statement (one I, among many no doubt asked too) about how we're going to deal with all the usual suspects and others, queuing up to put our club down with their blatant lies and misinterpretation of facts. It's always bothered me as our stance was dignified silence (that helped eh?) and now I really want to see these parasites squirm as they get what's been due to them for a long time Here's hoping.
