  1. Middleton I think - quick, knows where the goal is and is a great finisher
  2. I thought Halliday was shouting at their player not the ref, still Morelos booking was harsh - but the boy doesn’t learn.
  3. Time will tell. Wait til the game at the end of December, then ask again. It’s all very well getting excited and quite rightly so, but as far as the league goes, we’re just 6 games in.
  4. Gary really needs to get his teeth done
  5. Not like today he hasn’t, that was a different class today as others have also commented.
  6. But that’s the thing, we don’t have only one best 11 - we have a good 18-20 players all playing their part depending on the tactics, availability of key players and the opposition. Also think it’s too much of a jump to say that Rapid are our rivals for second at the moment. All th teams in our group are a capable of taking points off each other.
  7. So true! We need to win against them at Ibrox - not necessarily to be in with a shout of the title but beating them will give us a psychological advantage that has been missing for so long against them. It’s the next milestone for sure, but again one game at a time.
  8. I put my hand up. I thought it was an underwhelming signing but I am also a forgiver so I hoped to be proven wrong. He’s been class and I was wrong. Adds to our arsenal offering a different skill set than Morelos and truly complimentary - showing that in certain games they can play together to great effect.
  9. All part of the learning process mate, no looking back. The future is bright.
  10. Totally agree on the MOTM! Saw a new side of his play today as well, amazing turns and deft passes - just shows he is learning and improving all the time. He may not be the best finisher in the kind of situation he found himself in late on today, but that doesn’t matter right now.
  11. Shocking looking area to put our traveling support, I’m surprised we heard them from behind that glass or plastic partition. Fantastic support by the way!
  12. ? Sorry, I don’t have a pound sign on keyboard and I’m so used to dealing in $ in my job I never thought about it. I should have said GBP at least.
  13. Then you only get $10m when he could be worth $15m or more. In any case, they don’t get to agree personal terms until a fee is agreed between clubs, so in your example - a $2m offer doesn’t get anywhere and no wage would be negotiated. If it worked like that the whole system collapses.
  14. Normally it’s players agents that request/demand release clauses in contracts, it doesn’t benefit the clubs. We did tell WBA to do one, we didn’t need to sign Tav on an improved contract for that to happen. It will help us get a better fee if we wanted to sell him, especially in the last 12-18 months but I think the fee is dictated more by the performance of the player.
  15. I agree with everything you say except ‘most bears don’t care about Scotland’. I think it’s a significant minority - even if some won’t admit it. On this forum it’s seems true that most don’t care, but many on here think it’s a competition to prove how staunch they are. And I love that when it comes to showing the passion, loyalty and ‘no surrender’ attitude of being a Ranger’s fan but I hate being ‘informed’ that to be a true Rangers fan I should be a of a certain political mindset. I’m not SNP and never have been, but i don’t see anything wrong with being a Rangers fan and an SNP supporting, crazy kilted, see u jimmy bunneted Tartan Army fan, or anything else if they so desire. I support our national team, I don’t want to see them pumped. I still dream of qualifying for the World Cup again and doing well. I was a wee boy when Gemmil scored against Holland in 78 and that feeling for me is up there with the famous big Euro wins Rangers have had. Yes, times have changed and politics are different but I just don’t get why anyone would allow that to change the way they feel about the beautiful game. Sad.
  16. Sarcasm to your wet blanket of a post. We’re fucked are we? How were your emotions after Thursday night? I’m sure you were proud of the team like all of us, with genuine hope, knowing we are still forming a great team. All of a sudden we have no hope? That’s just bipolar, get a grip.
  17. Nobody said we should accept that shite today. It was poor, but I think after Thursday, and given all else - we had a hangover. The thread is about seeing enough (so far) to believe that we’ll get it right against them at Ibrox. I don’t think it’s fair to spit the dummy today and get all pessimistic and defeatist.
  18. Don’t worry, we could do a total clear out in January again, eh? Should we also start looking for a new manager now, you know, so we don’t end up with Murty til the end of the season?
  19. If you don’t believe (I’m not suggesting it’s easy - it’s not) don’t support us, go find another team. We will get it right and stop them, I’ve seen enough to believe that. We weren’t there today - but they played to 100% of their capacity today, we were always going to only be 70% in my view. The game on Thursday didn’t help, missing players didn’t help, lack of Rangers fans didn’t help (wrong call in my opinion), referee didn’t help. We will be back, the OP made sense to me, and I’ll be there to enjoy it. Good luck with supporting Patrick Thistle.
