  1. I agree with the assertions made about Murty and the reservation to judge whether he’s ‘the man’ until end of season. However, it has to be said, and I’m sure 99% of fans will agree, I’d rather have Murty at the helm with an opportunity to prove himself, than McInnes or anyone else that was linked with us after Pedro’s sacking.
  2. I’d give the ex-hat a wee bit more credit than that tbf. To find 3 gems (4 if you want to include Holt) with the kitty he was given in the championship, that’s quite impressive.
  3. He played a captain’s role alright!
  4. He doesn’t need to spell it, he needs to smell it ;)
  5. Didn’t agree with his opinion about Tav, but to be honest mate I can’t see where you’re reading that he’s downplaying Morelos’s worth.
  6. It would be embarrassing! The mhedia predict that he’ll get pelters, so I hope we prove them wrong.
  7. I’d be tempted to say we should cut our losses, but Im also inclined to give him a chance now that he’s returning to fitness. Would be just our luck to sell him only for Wigan to reap the benefits.
  8. Wish him the best of luck, but this really should be last chance saloon with us.
  9. Murty is a class act! Intelligent, articulate, charming, humorous, discrete, respectful and proud. He is the type of character that we need at this club and has been badly missing. The only question that remains in my mind, is he the one to bring back the success to this great club? I have no doubt that the team under him and JN will make progress, improve our standard and achieve some consistency that we’ve not had before. I’m confident that will get us 2nd this season and, crucially, close the gap (not suggesting the road will be flat and straight, but there will be less bumps than before) and if he does that he will get the job on a more permanent basis, and deservedly so. But in the mid- longer term, meaning next season, or the season after (at the latest), he’ll need to win the title, that’s the level of success that is going to be required. Whether it’s Murty or someone else they’re going to have to do it with a much smaller budget than the current heirs to the throne. It’s a tough task for anyone, but I can’t think of anyone else who could come in and guarantee that. I hope our fans can get behind him, and not keep talking about him as a temp, or that we don’t have a manager. Look at the guy in that pressie, he’s so proud to be given the chance and he deserves the support and loyalty of the fans for the next few months at the very least, bumps or no bumps.
  10. No need mate, I use safari on my iPhone and watch the games all the time.
  11. Hit the Nail on the head! It’s great to show passion and excitement about the recent dealings - I’ll raise my hand on that one, guilty as charged - but of course it means nothing until we see consistent results.
  12. They will strengthen during this window, no doubt whatsoever. Still, we have a good chance to push them all the way with the new signings that are already in the bag, and more to come. Not fussed about whether we can off load the supposed ‘failures’ this window, some of them may prove themselves in a new set up with new team players alongside. Alves will probably leave in the summer, Dalcio’s loan won’t be extended even if he performs like he did in Florida, Miller and Kranjcar won’t be here and I’d expect us to shift Hodson. Hardie to go out on loan or sold. The others have a job to do imo. All in all it looks promising!
  13. > Finishing at least 2nd > If 2nd, the current points gap narrowed > Taking a minimum of 3 points from them > Scottish Cup Final at least Thats how I would define acceptable progress and if we achieve that, Murty gets a new contract.
  14. He had the final decision to go forward with them or not.
  15. Could be a case of just not having enough game time. He looked capable tonight, finally.
  16. I like Murty, I think he’s an intelligent coach but, like so many, I had (still have) my reservations on whether he could be a successful manager for our club. However, with Jimmy in place I can’t help but feel good about this management team.
  17. What The Tims do or say doesn’t bother me in the slightest! ‘He who angers you controls you’. Their actions and mentality are a form of flattery. Let them continue to be utter morons, why try to correct them, encourage them to show integrity, that’s not in their DNA. We don’t stoop to their level and the status quo is fine for me. Let the mhanks be mhanks.
  18. Hope he’s okay, terrible news
