Both UEFA and SPFL rules state that kit designs that are submitted for the season can't be changed throughout the season, second and third strips can be released later though and King said in his press conference that they are working with PUMA to release these in the next couple of months. I think we should be giving him a decent amount of credit for getting this deal sorted, I think a lot of it had to do with pressure from SD shareholders, but the board should be praised for this as it's beyond what most fans would have expected.

Is there anything to stop a third team strip being worn most of the time?

Yes...From SPFL Rules

G33 Subject to the provisions of Rules G35, G37 and G38 Clubs are required to wear their first choice colours in all League Matches and Play-Off Matches, save that a Club shall be permitted to play a maximum of four Home League Matches in any Season in colours which are not the first choice, provided that the Company, the opposing Club and the Referee appointed for such League Match have been advised in writing not less than 48 hours before such League Match and the Referee (whose responsibility shall relate to the match in question only in this regard) shall determine whether each Club can wear its first choice colours in any given League Match or Play-Off Match in order to ensure compliance  with Rules

The rules for both also say that the home kit that is submitted must be worn in every home game unless there is a clash with all combinations of the away team colours or with the match officials. SPFL rule G33 allows for a home team to wear another kit in a maximum of 4 home league games, as long as the club seeks approval 48 hours in advance. I'm pretty sure this will be the home kit for the full season with a new one released next  year, but expect away and third kits to come in August.

Fair enough. Good info.

What, do you think they just rolled up today and signed a document with no talks over previous weeks?

Here's a tip, it's better to say nothing and have people suspect you might be an idiot than open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Brilliant

I'll save you going through the SPFL rules, what it basically says is this:

Whatever Liewell and tim FC say is what you will all abide by.

This we have let them walk all over us it's time to take more control over the Sfa and Scottish football again.
