I fail to see anything other that this is a good thing for the club as we attempt to regain the ground that was lost over the last few years. I think there will be some noise about the EBT's etc from lawell and others now - but as others have said, they are paying lip service to it to appease savcos supporters.

If this is all true, its quite an insight into how the people on the board of these clubs view their respective supporters. We are there to be appeased, while they become millionaires.

Been going on since time immemorial.

The Rangers board and the Celtic board got on well for years behind the scenes dividing and conquering the other clubs and divvying up the proceeds between them.

Lawwell's stepping down from the SPFL board also isn't coincidence. He's trying to play with both sides of the bat. (As my blog you mentioned the other day alluded to) so he can say he had no part in the decision and can appease the moonhowlers in his own support.

Maybe he's removing himself from the spfl board in case something arises from the title stripping pish you know a conflict of interest.

Why would there be a conflict of interest for Celtic but not Rangers, Hearts, Falkirk or Hamilton?

Celtic now have zero representation within the SPFL...that's not a coincidence. Lawwell & Robertson both stood for election last year and, magically, this year, they've decided to return to the way it was pre-2012 (we rotate which side puts up a rep for election each year)

The cabal will never change now in our lifetimes . The game board is the one we all have to watch

That is where the evil lies for me

If it were the 'old board' that arrived at the conclusion (via legal advice) then you'd think it should have been them who issued the statement, ie. last week, as per Topping article.

Oh no Buster. There's no place for commonsense in Scottish football.
