nvager 498 Posted June 17, 2008 Share Posted June 17, 2008 We lack the following: Attacking skillfull fullbacks - both at RB and LB. Whittaker may come on, but has a way to go. Papac is good defensively but offers little going forward. A quality replacement for D Weir. K Thomson OR B Ferguson can play as a holding midfielder, but then DMB apart you have no quality in midfield going forward. So you need two attacking midfielders of pace, guile, strength and goal threat. It could be argued that although we now have a plethora of strikers - we still need one of proven all round quality. Generally the big factor lacking is in midfield where we just could not keep possession last year. We need strength, pace, flair and creativity and a goal threat in there. In reality with little money what are our options???? a creative man in the middle of the park added to what we already have will go a long way to making us genuine challengers. A right back worthy of the role - Jardine, Stevens, Hutton are the standard required. If McGregor goes - I'd like someone better than Alexander, unless he improves that rush-of-blood to the napper thing he does that makes me an anxious wreck. Veloso would be ideal.
