  1. Yep keep on taking what Murray dishes out, no matter what ! Keep on pumping cash into the sacred cow, that is Murray's back pocket.. So what will it take to oust him? another NIAR? because fellow bears, that is the reality ! I've been going for 35 years, hardly missed a game in the past 15 years, had a season ticket for 18 years, and come renewal time, I dont think i'll be renewing either of my tickets - until Murray is out the club ! Enough is enough for this bear !
  2. ha Fcuk wish I was a baby !! So, in the cold light of day, we are all scunnered, what now? Acceptance, or do something about it? The latter, isnt easy, we probably have the most apathetic support going, but mark this - a few years ago, fans not party to 'internet' debates on Murray's tenure, were pretty much of the opinion that Murray was a good guy. Now, from forums like these, the word has spread, and even older fans are questioning his stewardship ! I'm not naive enough to think that bluenoses will read this and say 'fcuk it lets do something about it', but is doing nothing and sitting on our hands and wishing it would go away, the way to go with this? Poland anyone? Oh and that WAS before my time !! 34
  3. Guys, For once - bombard the email addres with your questions !! Dont ask them on here, just send em in to RFC. Yes they will filter them, but imagine their inbox with a few thousand well asked questions !! Mines is gone !!
  4. I'm one of them ! Joined in the protest outside the MS m'self, albeit a breif few shouts ! Your last para sums up the apathy I'm afraid ! Although I remember fans pouring out with 10 mins to go since the early 70's ! I guess my post is borne out of frustration and sadness!, soon as with all human emotions, that will give way to acceptance and anger !! Grrr
  5. Fellow Bluenoses, I sit here at work staring at the unreal events unfolding in front of me ! I'm numb from disbelief that this can be happening at our great club. Probably more gauling for me, as a middle aged bear, is the fact that I've been through bad times before, but nothing, nothing comes close to the situtation that Murray and co are dragging this once great club into! I've sat through low attendances, 'their' NIAR, the 'downsizing years', etc, but never did I think we would even consider selling Scotlands top goal scorer for a knock down price of £3M. I cant help but thinking who will be next, and for how much ? Make no mistake, this is the end of our season ! The spin-off from this decision will not only ensure FIAR for them, but ensure their easy passage into the CL, with more cash again next year, where will the spiral end? Another NIAR? Ive been going to Ibrox for as long as I can remember. My first game is clouded in the mists of time ! Aye I'm that old ! And for the very first time in my life, I'm considering taking direct action, and refusing to pay anymore cash into the club while Murray and his henchmen are in control. Realistically however, a few season ticket losses, would mean very little to Murray el al, but supposing, just supposing, we as a support, managed to join forces and threaten mass withdrawal of season tickets - now that would perhaps raise a few eyebrows in the corridors of power ! Add to that, a concerted and united campaign against Murray's fiscal policy, squandering of investments, and treatment of the fans (stewards in away games, Dublin Loyal carry on, etc), and I really think we could to something about this. We could moan and groan on here for a few days and accept the scraps thrown from Murrays plate, OR we could maybe just do something about it ? Views anyone? Oh and rant over, but I still feel sick.... 34
  6. HULL CITY INTREASTED AND DEPORTIVIO AND A FEW OTHERS. According to who??? RFC have announced there are no offers or informal notes of interest.... Try and look beyond the lying scums in papers
  7. here we go - premature speculation sparked by rags like the Rhecord.....
  8. Typical speculation in the Mhedia... I'd wait and see if I were you.....
  9. Hallelujah - someone with balls to break ranks ! Are you watching Murray, Bain ,Smith et al...?
  10. as someone who is NOT a season ticket holder this is probaly easier to say than those who are but the only way the board are going to make a move is if you guys say enough and dont turn up.ok i understand that punters will take up those tickets and that those who have no real feeling will still go.but at the end of the day if you renew and dont go the money they lose via franchise sales etc and the no show will eventually force the hand to defend the club.we are a laughing stock north and south of the border can this be allowed to continue. i was and still am a rangers man and proud to be so.i was a regular in the 60/70s but i am now embaressed by what is going on management is taking the club to anonimity.so you guys that are there need to let them know that enough is enough. end of rant but at the end of it fuck em all and sort it ffs i now expect to get slaughtered Dont think you will get slaughtered - like you I've been going since the 70's and to be honest this is the worst I've ever felt. I think the 'old brigade' have just about had it with this situation.... then again, maybe that's what SDM wants, place full of lickspittles, hand wringers and new age fans, that roll over and accept anything that's thrown. For the 1st time since I was a wee boy, I'm seriously considering packing it in ! Sad times indeed, after 38 years and sitting in the same fkn seat for 18 years !
  11. I find this tool most helpful - you can even have a satellite picture of the location...... http://www.ip-adress.com/ip_tracer/ ^_^
  12. I suspect he is basically pretty unfit ! Not the guys fault, but its WS who keeps selecting him ! At 30 minutes, he was huffing and puffing after making a couple of runs up the park - hands on knees bent over completely knackered. Sadly, this is WS at his worst, bringing in someone who hasn't played for a few games, is clearly unfit and looks quite overweight. He should have been hooked at HT. 4 grand a week anyone?
  13. Sums it up really: http://hubpages.com/hub/hokey-cokey-scandal
  14. Usual place for me - Same seat for 16 years in the Main Stand screamin ma head off !!
  15. Standing with no shoes on - wee fat legs ...yuk! The annoying eyebrow twitch, and the 'put on posh accent', really doesn't do her any favours - so its a big no from moi !
  16. We all have opinions on whether its acceptable or not to refer to Rangers/Protestants as 'h***'. Whilst a few years ago it didn't bother me, that is, when banter flowed both ways and no one really bothered. However, now the soapdodgers (and their tame politicians and friends in the media) have decided to use this as an issue to strike at the heart of our club and its supporters. Suddenly is kinda ok to call a Rangers supporter anything you want..... I for one, will simply no longer take the dignified silence route, oft lauded by some fans - whilst we are castigated and vilified by every media and political outlet for singing songs like TBB, TFIO, etc, we are supposed to sit back and be called every name under the sun, and laugh it off as 'craic' or banter? No siree - If we don't receive parity in the media, we need to stand and be counted - don't give them an inch to maneuver. If anyone uses the 'H' word (or any other derogatory word), we need to fight it tooth and nail as a united support. The days of dignified silences and hand wringing are over !!
  17. Good letter - engineering manager here too with MSc - are you in MIMech? Just wondering, may know you....
  18. Time we stood up and be counted, excellent idea, and sure beats groaning and moaning on here and other websites. Direct action loyal I'll be there
  19. Done Getting discussed on RR at moment... Cameron says he hasnt seen it because it keeps vanishing. Be nice to get it to him if someone's saved it - haven't seen it myself
  20. Just to rub some salt in the wound - they hate him more than we do............. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-n1ELOdW5sA&...feature=related Dontcha just love the diddly dee music?
  21. I don't think its support of SDM at all, but perhaps, just perhaps, you are seeing a wee fightback! Irrespective of your love or hatred of the man, there seems to be a small glimmer of realisation (the Bain flyer etc) that enough, may indeed be enough ! If as one of the posters suggests, Reid comes out with another reposte, then pandora's box will be well and truly opened and it will be open day on Reid. Enjoy the moment and imagine how the soapdodgers are shifting nervously in their chairs at the moment ! Are the lights on in the piggery?
  22. By direct comparison, have a look at the difference in reporting on the Scotzine site (especially the last para) - I've replied to comments a few times, but they have been deleted, obviously run by a soapdodger: http://<No links to this website allowed>/blog/?p=2225#more-2225
  23. Came upon this online, has the worm indeed turned? From The Times November 21, 2008 David Murray hits back at John Reid The Ibrox chairman lays into his Celtic counterpart over criticism of Rangers claiming he lacks 'dignity and integrity' Graham Spiers Sir David Murray, the Rangers chairman, has chosen the occasion of his 20th anniversary in charge of the club to criticise John Reid, his counterpart at Celtic, whom Murray says has “crossed the line” in terms of alleged attacks Reid has made on the Ibrox club. Murray heavily implied yesterday that Reid had lacked “dignity and integrity” in some of his recent comments about Rangers, even claiming that it was “dangerous” for a politician such as Reid to become an Old Firm chairman. The Celtic chairman has spoken out about The Famine Song - the latest favoured chant of the Ibrox faithful - claiming that it is “racist” and “vicious”, and has even urged the police to wade in and arrest Rangers supporters under new legislation in Scotland. Murray, who says Rangers are doing all they can to get the song stamped out, nonetheless believes that Reid has whipped up an orchestrated political campaign over the issue. “There is an unwritten rule among Old Firm chairmen that you don't criticise Rangers or Celtic, but I do find that this has changed since John Reid arrived,” Murray said. “I did not go out my way to criticise [Artur] Boruc [the Celtic goalkeeper, involved in various incidents including making hand gestures at the Rangers fans]. I did not go out my way to criticise the things that Richard Gough was called over the years. I could go on and on, so I've been disappointed with some of the comments John has made. “He has taken a few shots at us. We have not responded because there has been an unwritten rule between Rangers and Celtic that you show respect, and I will continue to do that. When you are the chairman of Rangers or Celtic, you have to be very careful. There is a strong argument, especially in the west of Scotland, that for a politician to become a chairman of a football club could be verging on being a bit dangerous.” Murray claimed that Reid had tried to make unfair capital over The Famine Song - knowing that Rangers could be embarrassed - and that the issue had been wrongly politicised. “We are not denying that The Famine Song is wrong, but I know that members of his [Reid's] political party encouraged the song to become a public item on the agenda,” Murray said. “I think John has to remember that he's not in the House of Commons now. This is the west of Scotland, the world of Rangers and Celtic, and I think we all have a responsibility to act in a sensible manner. “I could comment on all sorts of things, such as the recent poppy business at Parkhead [where the fans were invited to clap rather than observe a minute's silence], but that's their business. All you are going to do is start an argument. I like to think this club [Rangers] shows a lot more dignity in many things. Because John Reid says things in his style, it doesn't mean we should follow. We try to do it with a bit of dignity and integrity.” Reid last night dismissed Murray's comments, claiming that “when it comes to defending the welfare of Celtic, I will continue to comment without fear or favour.” http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...?Submitted=true Now I assume that most of this has some spin to it, but for once the corduroy cowboy has been quite objective in his column !
