  1. Fantastic player! Sad to see him go but best of luck Jela, I think I would be right in saying that we all want you to be a massive success down there.
  2. I think they can play in the same side - remember that both players are comfortable playing either side of the pitch, meaning they could switch during the match or double up on one side, I think they would thrive if both were asked to play on the wings and in between the lines - with a striker who can lead the line, there would be much interplay and threat from all over the front line - both players can fair hit a ball and are very technically proficient, both excell at running into the box and can score, if we can have both for next season with Davis, Edu and McCabe forming the rest of the midfield - we will absolutely walk the league.
  3. I would be quite happy to have jig up front next season, with little and Lafferty as back up strikers - Little looks a great prospect at the moment, and a goal against Sellick would have done him no harm at all, Lafferty can score, just not consistently, good backup, not good enough to be first choice. I would play a 4-2-3-1 with Edu and McCabe in the holding roles, Davis, Aluko and Naismith in the advanced midfieilder zones. Mouthwatering.
  4. I have no problem with it, just as I wouldn't care if any of our players did it. 1st is everything, 2nd is nothing. He wants to win, hates losing, fair play to the man, its up to Rangers and any other team to step up and put him back into second place.
  5. That pass by Meireles to Toress out wide, and then Torres cutting in was like Torres of old.
  6. It all depends on exactly what went wrong, some situations will mean tw heart is vastly weakened and he will never play again, others could see a good recovery with the potential to play again, there are many variables to consider and it would be hard to state conclusively whether or not he will ever be able to play again, without knowing the cause
  7. Torres in his Liverpool days would have finished the chance, however that was when Torres was at the height of his powers, and was considered world class - he's no longer anywhere near that as a striker. I don't think he enjoys it at Chelsea, I think moving from Liverpool was an enormous mistake. Even before the move to Chelsea, Torres came back from injury and scored 9 goals, looking pretty poor, but scoring. I feel him and Suarez would have been a pretty special partnership.
  8. I'm going to buy a ticket tonight, also gonna see if I can get some mates to come with me.
  9. Any Jewish Loyal would be delighted with the turn the scarf's are taking I do like it much better than the black and red.
  10. You could say the same for McCoist for us.
  11. Good luck Port Vale! We certainly sympathise and hope you lot pull through this!
  12. It's certainly very strange, on-form Torres for Liverpool was truly world class, both internationally and club level, he had a nasty injury and was brought back too quickly, then got injured again, was brought back Into a Liverpool side under Roy Hodgson, even then with the change in tactics, scores 9 goals in half a season, including two belters against Chelsea, then gets sold to chelsea and is a total, utter flop. Even when he was playing poorly at Liverpool, he was still getting amongst the goals, but now he is nowhere. Truly baffling. Is it a case of him not being the main man at Chelsea?
  13. Div 3 for this bear, I think it would be refreshing, and I would still be coming to games, fuck the glory hunters, this is my club, and ill come and watch no matter who the opposition are or what league we are in. Build a good young squad, and it gives us a chance to sort the mistakes which were made in the past, and develop our youth better.
  14. Youngsters are inevitably better off staying at smaller clubs to develop - we don't really give youth much of a chance
  15. I was at the match - was cracking! Was talking to a mad Frenchman and he bent down and kissed the Scotland badge on my chest
  16. Well done Liverpool first silverware in 6 years. In the end you win anyway you can
  17. As sad as the circumstances surrounding our club are at the moment, we should be aiming to generate as much positivity as possible - I suggest turning this season into a positive, as much as I may wish otherwise, I feel Celtic are dead cert to win the league, and with European out of reach if we dont exit administration in time, so that finishing 2nd would give nothing, I feel that we should perhaps start giving more youngsters like Perry, Ness etc a chance? There are other youngsters, like McCabe and Mitchell that we could see more of, what does everyone else think?
