The event is open to anyone. It's to gather viewpoints from across the community on how Rangers can be more inclusive to minorities. You are welcome to apply for tickets, join the tour and enjoy the finger food buffet. If you feel Rangers shouldn't be working to build and encourage links to minority communities you can come along and make that point.
Having been to a number of these events, and having worked with the club on a number of community initiatives in the past, I would highly recommend attending to get a better understanding of the clubs support for this type of action.  And contrary to some comments made, this isn't just about good PR, the club feel very strongly  that they have a responsibility towards the community they are a part of and want to be active in ensuring we are part of making that community stronger. This is reflected in work with schools, the unemployed and minorities amongst others.
If people are threatened or actively against Rangers supporting such initiatives then that in itself is probably a justification to have events like this in the first place

You should do. Widespread is quite a big word. Your reading has definitely come along.

Not sure why there's an issue with this.
Next time you're in your seat at Ibrox, have a look around & count how many folk there are who are of different ethnicity than you.
I couldn't care what creed, colour or race you are but I'm also not in a position where sitting in a stand and no one looks like me is a thing.
RFC making us more open to a wider community makes solid business sense as it gets more people to become fans, more merchandise sales, a wider group for ST sales & an obvious PR boost (perception is often reality)

A very apt selection of words.
I would guarantee that those statements would be a hell of allot more applicable in Scotland if you were from a minority rather than if you were a straight white man. Given this, I really dont understand why people have a problem with a programme to try and entice people from ethnic backgrounds to come and experience Rangers.
The idea that straight white men in Scotland are being oppressed is just a bit ludicrous to be honest.

Im not in South Africa though, im in Scotland. Im sure there are places in the world where I would get a hard time for being a white guy, but not really here.
Im sure the lower caste get it tight in India.
It is probably not much fun being Rohingya in Myanmar.
Just because someone might get a hard time in some back street in the Congo doesnt really make me feel oppressed in my own country.

I can genuinely say that as a straight white male, no-one has ever been racist to me and as far as I know, I have never been discriminated against.
You sure you aint just a bit of a cunt? 😉

Now I'm so confused - what picture should determine how I vote??? - I really don't want to have to read about policies and how it will affect my future. I just need a picture of a badge and some mindless rhetoric. Please help me  🙄

Fair comment on the players - though I have my doubts already
On McKay, its not about him per se, it's about shouting to the world that he's not in your plans and surplus to requirments - in no scenario does that make sense. His demotion to the under 20's is what a complete amateur/incompetant does, almost always loses you respect of exisitng players and it massively undercuts the players transfer value.
Tactically, Pedro is the worst I've seen. He thinks he's above Scottish football and can just throw out players in any structure - in the game he subbed off the three defenders he had Holt falling back into the centre half position ffs. Jason Holt at Centre half and he had Senderos on the bench (who I admit is shite, but he's a centre half). That sums up Pedro and his utter cluelessness.
Anyway, if he stays, all will be clear after four or five games - sadly it's not going to be fun to learn what we already know!!
