  1. Slightly off topic Frankie but are the RST planing to have anyone at the NARSA convention this year? I know a few of our RSC members are thinking of joining but would like to speak to someone from the RST first.
  2. Then we must expect to be fighting for 2nd place again. Celtic unfortunately have the money and will spend. We will have to be very lucky with Bosman's or continue to struggle.
  3. After the first points deduction, which I believe is inevitable. I hope it sinks in. What really has me worried is the lack of guidence from everybody. I just hope the do's and dont's are made crystal clear before the start of the season and that the fans have some say in the matter.
  4. Not quite reached the hate yet but certainly reached a strong dislike for the direction he is leading the club. His striping of assets over several years now has had the alarm bells sounding. The Albion car park being the worst, where he now makes more per year from the Rangers support, for one of his other companies, than he paid Rangers for it.
  5. I think we should run riot at the next away match and knock the sheeite out of everybody and anybody who stands in our way...the way it used to be in the old days. Afterall we are not going to achieve anything at any level in Europe coz we are sheeite Mr Murray so lets knock the sheeite out of them and feck UEFA ETC (beer) A rather draconian attitude FISH......mind you it would give their riot police something to think about, rather that smacking women and kids about. I think we should send some of oor Fegie ( Paisley) gangs oot there to sort them oot ...they wouldn't know what had hit them :Animation44: I think we should send the fish oot there. They certainly won't know what he's talking about.
  6. It would take massive investment in Rangers for us to overtake the dark side. Investment that I can't see coming fro SDM. It may well be time for a change of custodian and some fresh ideas at the top.
  7. Ok Fish, You seem to be the font of all knowledge and the only one on here that continually undermines everything that either Eck, PLG or Wattie and Ally try to do, let alone what you think of SDM, who would you sign and how would you get the finances. Have you got deep pockets??? Why should SDM bale us out again, he has done it once. Just remember without him we could have had twenty ffing years of the standard of the eary eighties. Check your Rangers history. Rangers were on the up long before SDM bought the controling share for 6 million. The Souness revolution started in 1986 under David Holmes. More than 2 years before SDM joined a winning concern and started selling off the assets.
  8. Certainly not the best preperation for the players in what is going to be one of the most important league games of the season. A win we're looking good but a loss and the pressure is really on. I just hope WS has them in a fighting frame of mind and their pride is hurt after their sorry performance on Wednesday. A lot of players have a lot to prove. Must bring Boyd back and play someone up front alongside him.
  9. Makelele covers much more ground than Brahim ever will and puts in a lot more tackles also. I am not knocking Brahim, he is one of our better players. I just don't think he works hard enough. This goes for 80% of our team. To put it into perspective, Nobody in our team works harder than Nacho he is simply not good enough IMHO. Brahim is deffinately good enough just doesn't work hard enough, if we could make one player out of the 2 what a player he would be. ( Either that or realy crap).
  10. I think Hemdani is a good solid defensive midfielder, nothing more. To say that he is not meant to make defense spliting passes etc is like saying that Boyd is only there to score goals. For me Barry could play the Hemdani role very easily but everyone would be screaming at him because they know he is capable of so much more. I believe Brahim might also be capable of a lot more but just doesn't show it. To me he just doesn't work hard enough and for a 25K salary I believe you should work your a**e off.
  11. I've said this before. 99% of our away support are also part of our home support. So many people are encouraging our support to sing Rangers songs, have you ever listened to the words of Follow Follow? There is a group in our fanbase that are lets say unsavoury and that we could do without but they are not limited to our away support.
  12. If UEFA did really throw the book at us do you think Murray would consider any sort of legal challenge on the grounds that the songs are political, and part of the culture in this part of the world? I think that SDM is already seeing the error in not fighting the original charge. The official web site are saying that Rangers FC will be approaching UEFA on behalf of the Rangers fans over the debacle in Spain. The fact that he has maintained a dignified silence in the past is now coming back to bite him. If we do ever get a ban the loss in European revenue will cripple us and drop the sell value of Rangers FC dramatically.
  13. Amo, The nearest way to describe for Americans is to liken groups like Nil by Mouth to the ACLU. Both are government funded, both seem to see only one side of the story. As a white, middle class American it would be difficult for anyone to gain the backing of the ACLU even if their Civil Liberties were being breached.
  14. I hate the sheep with a passion but have to admit they are on a very good run at the moment and are a serious threat on Saturday. We will not return from a very strenuous test, both physically and mentally, until Thursday morning. Not much time to rest before Saturday.
  15. I don't think you are being paranoid in the slightest Frankie. Dam busters was not only sung several times on Sunday but has been sung for several years, certainly long before Nackerdmotor came to Scotland. I am deeply insulted that the flag of my country was removed while the flag of foreign powers were allowed to fly freely. (R.O.I, Palestinian). This is PC gone mad. I am happy that RST are at least trying to do something about this but extremely disappointed that our custodian, SDM does dot see fit to defend our club. Until now I have not joined the RST but seeing that they are the only group defending our club I now intend to join.
  16. Barry edges Brahim for me. If Smith and Weir had played the whole season they would also be in the mix.
  17. Surely a player assaulting a supporter is cause for a serious ban, Cantona anyone.
  18. A last minute dodgy penalty by Rino that hits both posts before going in off the back of the polish c**t's head for a 2-1 AC win would make the scummy bassa's really sick. Oh how I'd laugh.
  19. Has Scott McDonald ever scored against RA Celtic. Oh Yes I nearly forgot championee
  20. I've voted for Webster for what I've seen in the past but must admit that I am a little worried at his lack of competitive football for almost a year now. I have not seen enough of Broadfoot to really state an opinion. I'm afraid although I've wanted to see light at the end of the tunnel for Svensson it's just not happening for him.
  21. 100,000 for the 2 of them is worth the risk. It remains to be seen if they will develop into players that will command a first team place but still far better business than Sionko and Sebo etc.
  22. It's difficult to see how SDM is going to make the club look like an attractive investment after all the Asset stripping that he has carried out. Everything from catering to merchandise to even the car park no longer belongs to Rangers. By all accounts David Burnside is not one of the hard line unionists and has an excellent business acumen. Many years as an executive with British Airways. Your fears of Rangers getting further embroiled in Ulster unionism, I think are without foundation. Although SDM is the owner of Rangers, much of the investment that saw us through the good years came from outside. Dave King etc. The difference between those days and a consortium are not as far apart as you might think.
  23. because the away support is smaller and when this section is surrounded by 40,000 others then they tend to get drowned out, however at away matches it is their chants we hear. I would think it would be very rare for someone to specifically attend away games and not home ones, so when they say 'Away support' they mean the supporters that go to away matches, this does not exclude them from also being home support I think we can agree that supporters that go to games both home and away are indeed die hard supporters. To generalize that these supporters are in some way more likely to do anything to harm our club is OTT.
  24. Why is it "The Away Support" that get the blame for this? I only get to a couple of away games a season but 95% the Rangers support that I meet at these games are season ticket holders at Ibrox. The club must realise this because each season ticket holder are allocated a certain number of tickets for away games.
