"Celtic goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska has been attacked in the street by a fellow Scottish Premiership player while on a night out. Zaluska, 32, was assaulted by a player, who cannot be named for legal reasons, while out in the west end of Glasgow on Monday. Police were called to the scene of the attack in Ashton Lane in the early hours of Monday morning. The extent of the Celtic goalie's injuries are not fully known, however he suffered a head injury and blood loss. Two other Premiership players were also present at the scene and were spoken to by police. However, it is not yet known the full extent of their involvement in the incident. It is understood the Celtic number two was out with his partner when the attack took place. He was approached by the player while making his way to a taxi in the city's Ashton Lane. Police say they have now launched an investigation into the incident and are examining CCTV for evidence. A statement from Police Scotland said: "Police Scotland are investigating a report of an alleged assault on a 32-year-old male in Ashton Lane, in the west end of Glasgow, in the early hours of Monday morning. "Police inquiries are ongoing, including the monitoring of CCTV." Celtic were unavailable for comment". http://m.stv.tv/news...n-lane-glasgow/

Well done to all the youngsters. Thanks for the info.

Well done Andy Murray. Sounds like he showed some grit to win through.
-
Well done Andy. (I've cashed out my bet anyway!)
-
First set to Ferrer. Just caught the end of it. Poor final shot by Murray. Now, should I cash out my bet on Ferrer?

Broken bottle attacker is jailed for five years
Ibroxblue replied to Bad Robot's topic in General Football & Sport
Not sure though there is some Celtc connection: "McCann had earlier admitted attacking Mr Fullerton with the broken bottle to his severe injury, permanent disfigurement and to the danger of his life and attempting to murder him on November 27 last year.He was granted bail following a court appearance after the incident, with a special condition of a curfew on days that Celtic's first team played matches". http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-29658730 -
I hope Murray wins but 11/4 about Ferrer looks a very decent price.

Generally a very good performance. Including by Black who played well overall but hit a couple of poor passes. -

Poor wee Nelly. It's a conspiracy! -
Foster played pretty well for us for a good spell last season. But he had a 'mare today, defensively.
-
McGregor played well today. Well done.
-
Law had a good game, particularly in the second half, and scored a good goal. So he was a decent choice for MOTM.

Call-off decision was right, says Rangers boss McCoist

I don't believe this affects our standing in the game. Not with anyone who matters. -

A message to who? Other teams? I seriously doubt that wil be in their minds when they come to play us at some later date. -

Not quite sure who was in the end but when the decision had to be made we potentially had several players missing. -

Ally and the team get more than enough stick. Can you imagine the tantrums if we dropped points in a game we could have had postponed because we had players missing? This has been a consistent policy and it's a sensible one. We have enough problems without taking additional, unnecessary risks. -
