    Ally has taken a cut in his salary (see the recent accounts). Also, according the papers he could have got a good bit more in compensation if he had handled his leaving in a different way.

    There was no "liquidation" of Rangers, only of the company that formerly ran the club. There was no big revival when Jock Wallace came back, unfortunately. As for Ally handing in his notice we don't know who made that public. Neither side has said anything official, possibly for legal reasons, and it might be sorted out this week.

    My suspicion is that this is an indication the resignation is not about results. So if we lose tonight it's not about that.
