  1. So Perry is back playing again, good to hear, problem I'm now having with Perry is even though I thought he would have broken through and had a few games in the first team he also seems to be very injury prone and he's a lot younger than Webster!
  2. waste of money - don't need a keeper, got, arguabley, two of the top 10 keepers in Britain on the books Not if one of them leave in the summer, which could may well happen. I'd rather have Cerny than Tuffey, although Tuffey is the cheap option, should we need a keeper!? Yep on both accounts, but one problem is if it were to be Cerny would he be happy being second to Alexander? Even though Tuffey probably wouldn't want to be either he at least would understand that initially he would be second.
  3. waste of money - don't need a keeper, got, arguabley, two of the top 10 keepers in Britain on the books Unless McGregor is sold during the transfer window.
  4. Welcome to the site, hope you enjoy.
  5. I love that one, good to see the old favourite making a return, its been a while It may well be true, but again, only if we have others who will actually put it away, and, in fairness, we never seem to. The fact that Miller is having the season of his life isnt something I can rely on at this stage. Definately not complaining about Goodwillie (apart from his name makes me chuckle!) and Conway, but, the impotece should be in finding pacy, wider players, then, we can look forward to months like December being the norm, not the exception. If you look at the majority of Lafferty's finishes, especially his last two, then you can see that he has the ability to really finish off chances well. With the likes of Miller and Goodwillie creating for him... Anyway, I think that's doing Goodwillie a disservice. Some of his finishing over the last two years has been superb. I agree, Not sure of Goodwillie's stats, as he is a bit of a different player than Boyd anyway, but Boyd scored 63 goals in 153 appearances for Kilmarnock, and now playing for a better side is stuck on that 99 goal mark, having only made 141 appearances for us. Argument is, play in a better team where other players could create goals and even Goodwillie's stats could go up, hell look at Miller's shit stats at Celtic but play him properly and he's did pretty well for us!
  6. Or Bayern Munich, we could still get in automatically if Lyon win, but Lyon aren't guaranteed a spot yet from their league position.
  7. I don't think Wylde has found his niche yet in all honesty, next season would like to see him given the left back spot in the League Cup competitions and play as cover for Papac should he be injured or suspended, as I'm sure Smith is going to be leaving us so we won't really have cover there, even though Whittaker and Broadfoot have both played there. Left wing? Possibly bring someone in if there are the finances to do it, but we could also be looking at some of our other youngsters, as you mentioned Forbes, he can play anywhere across the defence or midfield (currently), don't know if it's a case of him finding his preferred position yet either though? Even though we do seem to have an awful lot of central midfielders even at the youth level.
  8. I can see Wylde being developed to be a left defender where he started from rather than a left winger. I know where your coming from but if he was to play LW then we'd have him and Papac , both players can get forward but both of them can get back as well , sort of like Whittaker at RM if you get me I know what you mean, Sasa is now 30 and I believe may be on the final year of his contract, so to be honest don't know what the future holds for him, and I'm thinking more of building a team for the future with younger players.
  9. I think he will sign a contract extension once the season is over and everyone knows what is happening in the future!
  10. I can see Wylde being developed to be a left defender where he started from rather than a left winger.
  11. Players like Goidwillie, Conway, McArthur won't come cheap! Especially if clubs are interested in them, and it seems like there is interest in both Goodwillie and McArthur. Goodwillie is a player I would like to see at Rangers but I certainly wouldn't push the boat out to get him. Goodwillie is the only player id touch. Mcarthur is over rated I agree on all accounts.
  12. They may have been, but that don't mean they would have been at any club they go to. Naismith has been unlucky with injuries and never really got back into the team properly, Burke was a lazy shite at times when it came to playing for us, he could have improved if he had a better attitude and so not the fault of Rangers, same applies for Adam, Fleck still has a long time to go and still learning his trade really bad example, as for Lafferty well I don't think you can blame Rangers really for him, his attitude at times stinks and I think he's been told this on a few occasions by the management.
  13. Another thing about the posts about CL experience, and buying players who have had CL experience, well, where did those players start with their CL experience? Either through their own teams youth ranks, or were bought from some previous team and then got that experience by playing for a bigger club! Anyway, even if we don't get these players, if all goes to plan then they might have CL experience next season instead of Celtic.
  14. No you're not, but, it doesn't actually say we're trying to sign the players only that we are apparently interested in buying players, as for Boyd, I think it's more a case of him leaving irrespective of the finances at the end of the season, and even though Novo will always be a true blue, we have to look to the future, and these two players could potentially be better than Novo was for us when he was at his best.
  15. Have a great day, don't normally go to the pub on a Sunday but might be in my local celebrating and annoying all the English gits down here. Saying that, there is a pub not too far away from me where the landlord is actually a Celtic supporter so I might visit that establishment.
  16. I can understand the reasoning behind this, but traditionally our colours are Blue, Red and White, now Royal Blue even though our first strips I believe were actually light blue, all this petition is doing is causing controversy for controversy's sake I prefer our strips to focus around our traditional colours as those are the colours we were created and based on. If you want to cause controversy then design a top that has orange (tangerine) and white hoops based on the period when we wore blue and white hoops.
  17. How can you choose every season for me good or bad.
  18. In theory it would be good to get Goodwillie, I think he could be a real success at our club, but, and I don't mean to put a dampner on things to get him for next season there would be a transfer fee and there will probably be a couple of million on his head, the chance to sign anyone will really depend on whether or not one of these bloody prospective investors does put an official bid in to buy the club and provide funds for the signature of some new players.
  19. Exactly what I was thinking, I cannot see what he is trying to acheive with such comments. Contradicting himself once was bad enough, but to go back on his word again...? Walter is a clever man, he will say something at the right time for the right reason, look back when he has opened his mouth and the outcome of it, and read between the lines, he is telling those that might be interested in buying the club to get of their fat arses and do something about it.
  20. Well done to both of them, a credit to their profession we are fortunate to have both of them on our books.
  21. Voted for Walter, even though a part of me was tempted to vote other (Davie Weir)
  22. Totally agree with you mate, was he lucky when it was his goal that got us into the CL group stages a few seasons ago, and was it lucky that it was him who took the final penalty under all that pressure that got us to the UEFA Cup Final? The man has been a great Ambassador to our Club, he adores Rangers and he adores us,the fans, he deserves to be treated with the greatest respect and should he be leaving he deserves one hell of a send off by us all. I made a list last year of the important goals he's scored and the financial award they have brought us. His goals have directly contributed to something like £25m worth of earning for us in his time here, you can't ignore that. £25 million!!! I knew it was quite a lot, but didn't realise it was that much.

  24. It's going to be an interesting summer, just wish we were told what was happening before the end of the season about any takeovers etc, it's frustrating.
