  1. Kyle Lafferty!!! Are you Kyle in disguise? And Welcome to the site.
  2. Well it's from the Daily Record so don't know how much of it is true! http://www.<No links to this website>/football/spl/rangers/2010/04/16/middlesbrough-prepare-summer-swoop-for-rangers-striker-nacho-novo-86908-22189543/
  3. I thought he had said that but wasn't sure. This is the only part in old news I could find from an article about Boyd! http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/spl/rangers/kris-boyd-s-departure-could-wake-up-indifferent-rangers-fans-to-plight-of-their-club-1.1017818
  4. I believe Stevie had already said he would be leaving at the end of this season to have more chance of first team football.
  5. Got a feeling there is already a thread about this!
  6. Cheers, answers the question whether or not he could play this weekend!
  7. Actually I'm changing my line up! :mcgregor: :whittaker: :wilson: :weir: :wylde: :bougherra: :davis: :thomson: :beasley: :miller: :boyd:
  8. I hope the bloody coverage on the TV does improve! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/8622276.stm
  9. Not sure if they still use that signature branding any more. Usually they stick with the bold font but they may go for something new altogether to recognise the importance of the new Old Firm sponsorship. Yeah, will have to wait and see, as long as it's Red, Blue and White.
  10. is this the picture you saw mate ? I think that is a guess by someone myself - it will just say Tennents mate There are two different pics on the link - one with the large 'T' and one with the Tennent's wording. The large 'T' would not be permitted under existing SPL rules so the first design was just for fun. It will be the large 'T'. With 'F' and 'P' on there as well. Would love it!
  11. I may well be a few tins short of a six-pack but anything should be better than the horrible Carling transfer.. Can't disagree with you on that one, well I can, but it would only be for arguing sake. Second one is more likely, but wonder if it would look better if it was in the style of writing?
  12. Frankie needs psychiatric attention? When I first saw the big red T I nearly boked then looked at the next one and went to myself would rather have the big red T. I know sponsors need to be seen and all that but I'm sure it could be done more tastefully if they tried.
  13. The Rangers 17s squad have reached the final of the Glasgow Cup Final by beating Clyde 6-1 at Broadwood, this could set up a potential final against Celtic who will be playing Partick Thistle. http://www.rangers.co.uk/articles/20100414/17s-reach-glasgow-cup-final_2255459_2024579 On top of that the 15s won the Stefano Gusella Memorial Tournament in Torino Italy, beating one of the tournament favorites in the semi-finals and Sampdoria in the final. http://www.rangers.co.uk/articles/20100414/15s-win-italian-tournament-_2255459_2024360 Well done to all involved
  14. I'm a bit confused now, was listening to the Rangers game last night on the radio and they were talking about the Young Player of the Year Awards (this might have been the one to do with who the press vote I'm not sure), but someone mentioned that the Young Player of the Year had to be Scottish? As one of the correspondents last night want Prince Bauben of Utd (Spelling?) as young player of the year. Reason why I'm asking is because I'm sure Stokes is from Dublin!
  15. I'm not sure that is 'mathematically' correct. They could tie still. And ys, I know we have a better goal difference, but still, I will celebrate when we 'mathematically' can not be caught, not when we most probably will win it. Actually he is correct we are currently 11 points in front, if Celtic draw against Hibs we are then 10 points in front, if we win on Sunday we then go to 13 points in front with only 4 games left. Anyway, I'm not really that interested in what they do, we need to concentrate on what we do and take it one game at a time.
  16. You do realise it will probably be given to Webster with an emphasis on him being on loan to Utd and not playing for us!!! Think Wilson has a good shout for Young Player but can see it going to Goodwillie or Stokes.
  17. I would have no problems with that line up, even though would be just as happy to have Edu in the middle instead of KT.
  18. People are forgetting that Boogie also had a good African Cup of Nations, I'm sure it was actually during this competition that the rumours started regarding Barca possibly wanting him. As has been mentioned if Cuellar, Boumsoung and Hutton can all get fees of around £8 million then there is no reason why we shouldn't get roughly that amount for Boogie.
  19. Said it in a previous thread, since Bain has had the SDM restrictions on him lifted he has gone up in my estimations with the way he has been trying to support the club.
  20. Something does need to change, and the incentive smaller clubs would have to get their grounds up to scratch would be the income they would receive from playing either half of the old firm.
  21. i think when it comes to the transfer market, anything outwith the FA's juristiction is considered "foreign" i might be wrong, but thats my belief hopefully ur correct, a left mid freebie is wat we need pronto! He is, as Scotland is run by a different FA then it's classed as a foreign team, if we are interested and do go for him it would be a freebie.
  22. Someone mentioned earlier on playing a 4-3-3, in a way I agree with this, having a couple of wingers is ideal and required if we're playing a 4-4-2 so it really depends on how the management want the team to progress, no disrespect to Boyd, but when he plays it seems to me we have to play a 4-4-2 to suit his style of play and therefore it causes problems. If Boyd were to leave at the end of the season the idea might be to try a 4-3-3 formation, nice big centre man in the middle of the three strikers with Miller one side and possible Naismith the other, or Fleck etc. Not saying it's ideal, but what formation is?
  23. The way the split is organised is a total farce, the first thing those in charge should be looking at is how many times have two teams played together already and where have they played, then out of fairness they should be saying in that case the game after the split should be played at the ground they've only played once so far this season. Classic example at this precise moment in time is the games against Utd, tomorrow night we are away from home, after tomorrow night we'll have played twice at Tannadice and once at Ibrox, those who arranged the fixtures should then be saying right then, final game has to be at Ibrox, and they should be doing that for all teams that have already played each other 3 times. Well said Bain, started to like him a bit more since he's had the SDM shackles removed from him.
  24. Excellent read, the honor and dignity of our players and management shines through time and time again.
  25. do you not think that given the club has had no money for quite some time now it's a remarkable achievement to win a league and cup double? It is still the poorest title winning Rangers team in terms of quality. We were extemely lucky to scrape the CIS Cup win and while we will win the title with points and weeks to spare it does not mean that we have a good team in terms of quality it may say more about the lack of quality across the city. How many times has this team been beaten this season ? For the worst ever team that is pretty good record. Also what age are you ? How do you know this is the worst ever team. I doubt very much you have a knowledge of rangers that would allow you to make such a proclamation Some of the moronic shit you read on here begins to grate after a while, think things through before posting them would be my advice Matbe you should read my post again; read it slowly and you may just get the words right. By the way, I attended my first Rangers game just under 53 years ago and have missed just 4 games in the last quarter century.Again I have never said that this is the worst ever team; I regularly suffered through worse teams in the 80,s. I understand what Doc is saying here, when you compare this team to the standard of player we had in times past when we won leagues it is hard to argue that the majority of our current players would get a game. It's not about previous squads, it's about the squads that have won leagues. At the end of the day it does show the state of Scottish football for what it is at the moment, you just have to look at the way Scottish teams have performed in Europe (apart from us reaching a final), in the last few seasons to show the effect it's had, hell we're loosing a CL spot soon, not that it will matter to us as we'll continue to be Champions, but even that might not guarantee a place in the group stages the season after next. Am I going to threat over it, am I bollocks, I'm going to enjoy the moment of us winning back to back league titles, especially with such a large margin at this moment in time, and I'll remember the games this season when we have really sparkled when demolishing teams in the league which has given us a very large goal difference and conceded very little in the league.
